Gostou -Friendly staff -Site & toilet facilities were spotless -River taxi was brilliant - lovely way to get into Stratford & back to the campsite. -Great location & lovely views of the river - Lovely park for children & crazy golf area (will definitely bring our children here)

Gostou This isn’t out first camping trip here we came last Aug so knew what to expect entertainment wise & we always enjoy our stay

Não gostou - When we arrived there wasn’t a pitch available on Shelduck 2. We were told to wait & someone would come to help us but when nobody came we ended up finding someone ourselves they walked around the main site & no plots for us to go on. I appreciate we came earlier than our check in time but even if we’d arrived at the correct time we still would have been in the same situation, we have small children so as you can imagine we just wanted to get set up & needed to feed them.We ended up staying on a hard standing pitch which in the end was fine but we did get told we may have to move during our stay (thankfully we didn’t). How the checking in system works does need to be re looked at though, we’ve stayed at other campsites & they take you to your plot & you get shown where to pitch up here it’s just a free for all & nobody is monitoring how long people are staying or if they are over staying & the site was definitely over booked. We also couldn’t book onto swimming as each day was fully booked but the swimming pool itself wasn’t full to capacity. I do think that when people have booked for swimming & don’t turn up they should get charged for not cancelling or maybe charge a deposit & you get it back if you turn up. We feel the site as a lot to offer but due to how it’s currently run & the systems in place has definitely put us of & for this reason we won’t be planning on returning

Do gestor: Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m really sorry that your arrival didn’t go to plan that’s certainly not the smooth start we want for our touring guests. We do have processes in place, so I’m unsure exactly what happened here, but I will be speaking directly with our Touring Manager to ensure a better arrival experience going forward. Our goal is for every guest to settle in quickly and not have to worry about moving pitches after arrival. Over the Easter period, we did have a high number of touring guests, but the park was not overbooked just sold out and we absolutely have the capacity to place every guest on the correct pitch. We also have our handy activities link, which allows you to book sessions up to two weeks in advance. It works really well, and if someone cancels, those spaces pop back into availability, so it’s worth keeping an eye on. Thank you again for your honest feedback it helps us make the park better for everyone. I hope we’ll have the chance to welcome you back in the future and give you the smooth, fun-filled experience you expect.

Gostou Thought the activities available were brilliant for children & families. We loved the swimming area & the amusements & the park areas were great.

Não gostou -Definitely needs to be more security checks done around the campsite. -Children on electric scooters / bikes bombing round the campsite saw two small children almost get mowed down these need to be banned like on other campsites we’ve been too. -Older children riding bikes in the football area next to the venue facilities while children were playing football. -Staff wise there didn’t seem to be anybody with any authority / management skills a lot seemed like they were temp staff on a school break. -Pot washing areas weren’t always clean / tidy, same with the showers & toilets

You’re absolutely right about security. With such a large park and lots of holiday guests especially children and young adults it’s really important we keep everyone safe. We’ve already increased our security presence to make sure this is well covered. We do ask that all children are supervised by an adult at all times looking after our guests and our park is in our nature. I’m sorry to hear you found the toilets, showers, and pot wash areas less than clean at times. Our touring teams are in the blocks from early morning through to late evening to keep them tidy, but it looks like we missed the mark during your stay. Please accept our apologies we’ll be working with the team to make sure standards are where they should be. Thank you again for your comments.
