Gostou - Good amount of space to pitch up - Phone charging facilities - Good washing up facilities with separate food bins - Wood/Kindling available to order for firepit - Quiet time was obeyed too - Good signage around camp to guide you to where toilets, pitches and firewood pick up is

Não gostou - We arrived and the only pitches left were near the road. We thought it was a country road that would quiet down, but we were woken up through the night by HGVs and cars beeping and speeding past. - The fields adjacent to the camping field had tractors working through the night on the Saturday with extremely bright, led lights and flashing amber ones too. - The toilets didn’t seemed to be cleaned regularly and became really dirty and smelly. They ran out of soap on Friday night and it wasn’t topped up again whilst I was there. The toilet paper did get topped up once but it wasn’t quickly gone. - The chemical waste disposal is in a clear tank right at the entrances to the toilets/washing up area which is an awful view. - Bins really need to be implemented here as people don’t take their rubbish home as per the rules and it is just left everywhere. We were happy enough to take our rubbish home, but it seemed most people just left their rubbish everywhere and the campsite looked awful as we were leaving, people had stuffed bin bags into the bushes I think having bins would help stop this happening. A steel Ash Bin to avoid bin fires would be helpful as well.

Do gestor: Hi Abigail, Thank you for visiting and taking the time to leave us a review. As you will be aware this is a free pitching system campsite (currently). The dates that you stayed we weren’t even 50% capacity. I’m sorry you found the pitch you selected not to your liking but of course you were free to pitch far away from the road if you thought it may disturb you. Yes this last weekend the farmer was harvesting his field and this did go on fairly late but to be fair to him he has a living to make and he is working on natures timetable. It is unfortunate that this clashed with your stay but he does only harvest for a few hours each year. Toilets are cleaned daily and consumables are topped up daily also. We have signs in every toilet, shower and sink area requesting that people let us know while they are on site if there are any issues that need attending to in the interim rather than waiting a few days and complaining retrospectively by review. If you let us know in the moment things can be improved for you and everyone else….the chemical waste tank is a (semi) translucent ibc and you really have to work hard to discern anything within it. As per the clear advertising before you book, on your booking confirmation, on your pre-arrival information and on the signage throughout the site we do not accept rubbish. This is not a cost cutting exercise or a decision that we have taken lightly. This is in response to multiple bin fires, people leaving full camping set ups for us to dispose of and leaving masses of food waste which inevitably attracts pests. Going forwards we will be implementing set pitches and a deposit guarantee system to ensure people leave the site in the condition that they find it in. It seems a little unfair to downgrade a review where customers of a business have ruined it for others while not giving the business an opportunity at the time of delivery of the service to resolve the issue.

Gostou - Onsite Bar & Pizzas. - The cleanest showers and toilets I have ever seen on a campsite. - Excellent washing up facilities with food bins which are composted. - Well stocked shop - Good size pitches - People kept to the rules and we were not disturbed in the evening after quiet time - helpful staff - Firepit facilities

Não gostou - The pitches were a little close together

Gostou Good facilities, including showers and toilets that were kept really clean. Close to nearby shops and good walking routes/rivers. There was some loud music etc but staff were pretty quick to sort it out and got them off site early the next morning.

Não gostou It wasn’t 100% clear where you could pitch up, we were gutted when we realised you could park up on the hill with better views as we had already set up.
