Gostou We found the farm campsite on pitch up and booked for a family weekend.
Great site, running water, electric hook up, washing up facilities (although no hot water), play barn is amazing for kids and only £2.50 for the day per child staying on site.

Great site for families, friends, couples, although it is very accommodating for children it is also perfect for people without kids.

Homemade cakes daily!

There are toys in the restaurant / cafe, toys outside of the main barn by the goats.
Goats and cow’s people can stroke.
The owners are absolutely lovely and work really hard.

We will be back and have already recommended to friends!

Não gostou Only improvements could be more showers as only two (someone super selfish spent an hour in there at peak time!), or at least a sign to remind the selfish people that others are waiting and not to take the mick.
I think maybe the showers are too nice for campsite showers so people want to do their make up and take ages in there maybe?
An idea if there was another shower block built would be smaller shower rooms so more can be fitted in, and an area outside with mirrors also so people can dry hair and finish getting ready etc.

Also mirrors in the toilets behind the showers as currently none there would be amazing!

Do gestor: We're so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. More showers are definitely planned and mirrors for the toilets.

Gostou We had the BEST 3 nights here over May Bank holiday.

Hosts were so lovely and accommodating; site beautiful and relaxed; and kids happy with games and ice creams.

There happened to be a fun music night when we arrived, then two chilled evenings with the kids playing cricket in the sunshine.

Não gostou All great, nothing to dislike.

Gostou We had a great time and really enjoyed the site. Owners were welcoming and were always on hand for any questions. It was a scorcher of a weekend so appreciate that it was busy and exactly how you’d like to see a campsite. I appreciate that it is still developing but so far it is great, appreciate the extra portaloos to support at such a busy weekend.
The cafe on site was a great touch and not something you see a lot. We had a great weekend.
This will be a site we’ll visit again in the future.

Não gostou Lack of shower facilities. I understand this is on the radar and from speaking to the owners, being their first season running the campsite, there will obviously be some teething problems. It was a super busy weekend so some queues etc are to be expected, unfair to blame the owners for others taking a while in the shower.

Gostou Very lovely staff. Great camping area and facilities. Great play barn for the kids.

Não gostou The one and only big let down was the very loud bassy music coming from the cafe until 3am for 2 of the 3 nights. Very bad nights sleep for them 2 nights unfortunately. If music was advertised whilst we were booking we wouldn't have booked as we had 2 young children, but there was no mention of it when we booked. All that was advertised was an onsite cafe.

Gostou Lovely setting and friendly staff

Não gostou Lack of facilities; only 2 showers, always had to queue, not very clean (made worse due to volume). Showers look great but leaked and sprayed onto the floor as there was no curtain. Wooden floor therefore very slippy.
Water temperature fluctuated from scalding to freezing yet sink water always seemed to be warm (not great when brushing your teeth)
No cover or lighting in outside washing up area and similar water temperature issues.
What disappointed us most was that these issues are clearly known, having looked back at previous reviews yet nothing seems to be changing…

Gostou We loved it. The play barn was amazing and such good value. The cafe was great, everything clean, staff lovely and even cute animals. Def coming back

Gostou Was a nice field with lots of space. The cafe looked lovely too. Check in was easy.

Não gostou Portaloos were not cleaned while we were there.

You could hear music until 4am so couldn’t sleep. Although we believe it was from a nearby festival but weren’t told about it on arrival.

Do gestor: We're sorry to hear that you couldn't sleep, we werenot aware that the festival would disturb anyone and it is completely out of our control. We are raising the noise level with the festival to explain it had an impact on you.
The portal toilets were brought in as extra for the weekend as it was busy and thought it would help people that side of the field. I can assure you, these were checked and cleaned. Unfortunately people can leave these in a mess straight after a clean.
