Bucklegrove Caravan and Camping Park

Gostou Owner lady was very friendly and welcoming on arrival. Site was spotlessly clean, clubhouse was Canadian Lodge themed so loved the atmosphere. Stunning views and enjoyed watching the stars at night.

Gostou Very well run site all the staff very friendly. Was a mix up with booking another group stole my alloted pitch, staff dealt with and sorted new pitch quickly. Reasonably priced bar great spot.

Gostou Great location for Cheddar Gorge visits.

Não gostou This site simply wasn’t for us. We were situated in G101 pitch, which was approx 3 meters away from the toilets (and the chemical disposal pit…). We were kept awake on our first night by a mixture of:
- The lamp post directly overhead that was on until just gone 11pm
- Hand dryer from the toilets (door didn’t close)
- Light above toilet door, on all night
- Rather awkwardly, there was a chap that grunted loudly when having a poo.

We spoke to the site the next morning and asked to move for our second night. Initially they couldn’t, but they kindly juggled some bookings and were able to shift us down the row by four pitches.

This was a better pitch, but all the pitches are very close, and there was a large group directly behind us in tents that had set up a communal area in the middle, and were not there for peace and quiet.

We decided to head home rather than finish the trip.

I cannot comment on the pool or the bar, as we didn’t use either. The toilets were functional, but could use some updating and could have been cleaner.

Overall, I think we had a bad run of it, rather than the site being bad. If you’re after a family break that’s a little more lively than peaceful, then this is probably ideal. Just not for us.

Gostou Always kept clean, shower blocks and pitches, Lovely views of Glastonbury Tor, It has everything you need in little shop, bar and restaurant and swimming pool, laundry room and toilets.. Will be going there again

Gostou The swimming pool, the ablution facilities are good enough. The pub and the park area. Close enough to Cheddar.

Gostou Great camping space and pitch sizes were reasonable, we did have a large space as it was our first time camping but in future a general pitch would be more than fine here.
Nice bonus to have a pool.
The park outside the club house was a nice space to spend our evenings and get to know other campers while my 4 year old enjoyed himself and made friends.
All facilities were clean and to the perfect standard.
Another great bonus to have a freezer for ice blocks through the heat wave.
Lovely staff and owners, all were kind and couldn't do enough to help you.
Great location for the countryside views and caves and only a 30minute drive from 3 beaches where we spent most of our time.
