Sandford Holiday Park

Gostou Plenty of activities for the children to do but be prepared to book everything online and pay extra. High ropes £30 for 2 people. Karts £17. Pool party £15, Mini Golf £6 per person etc. Camp site was nice and quiet. Staff were friendly and polite. Evening entertainment was okay.

Não gostou Pool was open 10am - 12pm and 2pm - 4pm. Que to get in and only aloud 45mins. Indoor pool freezing and colder than the outdoor at one point. Outdoor pool has moss on the rim which was all in the pool. No hot water in 2 of the shower blocks so had to walk to the 3rd. Not the cleanest. Nearest toilet block had every toilet blocked. Wifi doesnt reach the camp site in the paddock.

Gostou Really nice park, mostly flat which is a big plus and has touring options which is also great.

Gostou It's a lovely site, clean and well maintained, staff very friendly and helpful. Choice of eating places great and on the whole the food was good. There are laundry facilities there, great, however, there are three washing options available with different costs but only advertised for the eco wash. What we didn't realize Tescos will deliver to the site.

Não gostou The amount of activities that was available had a cost to. Which can become Very expensive for families Very limited free items, to participate in, like swimming, the amount of time available not great especially with the numbers of people wishing to use the pools completely understand the safety aspect, however with the hot weather, instead of closing at 12-14.00 the staff availability should have been reviewed, to allow the pool to remain open. Which would have reduced the queuing time and disappoint for those not able to use the facility, when it closed at 16.00. shame the shower/toilet block near us was closed down, especially as that particular option was chosen due to medical conditions.

Gostou The evening entertainment is great for children.

Não gostou The site was overpopulated, pitches for caravans where far to small, with far more people using the area than it was designed to accommodate. As a result, the grounds and facilities are showing clear signs of neglect and poor maintenance. Overflowing waste, damaged infrastructure, toilets and shower blocks dirty and lack of regular upkeep have negatively impacted both the appearance and overall experience of the site.

Gostou Beautiful pitch’s, lots for the children to do all of which (except the pools) are an extra expense. Friendly staff.

Não gostou No hot water in the showers or to wash up. Toilets and showers un-clean one of the toilet blocks had waste coming back up the toilet and covering the floor.
Bins overflowing.
Multiple signs saying “ no e bikes/ scooters” yet no one in-forcing this.

Gostou I was with my family, pitch was under a tree so had extra shade

Não gostou Everything has gone downhill, been here multiple times. It was dirty in toilets, they were blocked and cold showers. Other people there were partying and singing loudly at 3am, and nothing was done to stop them. Had to book everything, huge queues. Will not be returning

Gostou Site is lovely
Nice lay out

Não gostou Food chippy a rip off food quality very poor worst I’ve ever had !! After the first night load of food we didn’t eat at all after , here , also cost of drinks very high

Swimming pool a complete let down didn’t Evan manage to get in after queuing for 45mins gold to come bck at 2 still qued then told can’t take any more in complete let down

Gostou The showers were good, the chicken take away was good value and the arcade was good

Não gostou The outside pool wasn’t open all day, and when it was you couldn’t get in as everyone wanted to use it, the fish and chip takeaway was a rip off for 3 cod and 3 half a dozen chips came to £45.00 their portions were terrible!
There were big rats running around the touring area!
It was too busy, With a lot of parents letting their very young kids just run riot, looked like out of sight out of mind, even while moving of the site the kids were running in the way, didn’t see any security anywhere

Não gostou Children running through the pitches all the time knocking all the guide wires, werent able to take our children swimming the whole time we were there, also had a rat come to the back of our tent
