Gostou I'm almost tempted not to review this gem of a campsite to keep it a secret! Nicely placed on the edge of Braunton next to the village cricket club, it's a small family-run community-orientated pop-up that's big on heart. The personal touches just really make it - the owners checking in on you, the visiting cocktail bar and Devon scone stall, the kettle and washing up stuff in the kitchen area - it really feels like a special place to stay. The amenities are great, and the site is quiet at night. Perfect for families.

Gostou This is one of my absolute favourite campsites. It's pretty basic - no hook ups, basic showers, but it's simplicity is what makes it so great. It's peaceful being nowhere near a proper road and the views are stunning. Once pitched, you can easily walk 20-30 mins to Peacehaven to get the bus into Brighton, to Saltdean with it's gorgeous lido and fabulous sea swimming, or hike on the beautiful South Downs. Fire pits, locally-sourced food for your barbecue, peace, quiet and endless starry skies... It's how camping ought to be! It's exposed up there on the cliff, so be prepared for windy weather.

Gostou Fab, friendly campsite with top notch facilities. We arrived in the pouring rain, and Noah was very helpful about how to best manage the conditions. We were impressed with how nice (and clean despite the mud) the toilet and shower block was, which was helped by a really good pint of beer from the bar. This campsite is the perfect balance of laid back, rural, great location and great facilities.

Gostou Lee Meadow Farm is a fantastic campsite. The location is ideal for exploring this beautiful area of Devon. The pitches are well spaced and level, the facilities are clean and well looked after, plus there are a few nice touches like being able to hire fire pits, the excellent farm shop and bike hire. It's really quiet at night, so ideal for families, and the people who run the site are super friendly and accommodating.

Gostou Domaine Des Salins is a fantastic, friendly, relaxed and peaceful campsite. It has decent sized and well marked-out, perfectly level pitches and is kept beautifully clean and well-maintained by friendly staff. It has just the right balance of activity and quiet time. We absolutely loved the outdoor pool and used the barbecue, but everything was quiet by 10.30pm, so we slept well too. And bearing in mind that the campsite is only a ten minute walk from the main strip with restaurants and tourist activities and 15 mins from the beach, it was really peaceful. We recommend hiring bikes - we loved not having to use our campervan to get around.

Gostou This is a pop-up campsite. It's quiet, simple, friendly and so close to Bude town centre and beaches.

Não gostou Super slopey and could do with some cleaning supplies and spare loo roll to keep the toilets cleaner.

Gostou Spacious pitches, great facilities and a brilliant location. We normally go for wilder, more basic camping, so this campsite felt quite sanitised. But the facilities are great - big, well thought out and exceptionally clean and well looked after. The pitches are a good size and we appreciated using the electric hookups which are all around the field. There's a great little food van that serves really good food all day. The campsite has a laid back feel and felt safe with the children. The best thing is the location - especially if you like walking. We love Brixham, and it's a 15-min walk down to the marina and town (steep, mind). It's also 2 minutes from the coast path, and a 20 minute walk to St Mary's Bay or 20-25 mins to Berry Head. We loved leaving our campervan on the campsite and walking everywhere.

Não gostou The electric hookup points are shared between pitches. If you have a shortish cable like us, make sure you ask to be closer to the hookup point when booking - I would do that next time. We were fine this time, but had to park on the edge of our pitch quite close to our neighbours.

Gostou Lovely little campsite with amazing views. The campsite was really well kept with very clean facilities and good hygiene measures for Covid-19 risk mitigation. The owner was super friendly and informative, going out of his way to chat to us and give us extra local information. The cows were friendly too! All in all, a great stay — we’ll definitely be back.
