Gostou Great access to Hornsea. Quiet campsite, even though it's near a main road. Facilities adequate for our needs although showers weren't the best and cleanliness could have been better but certainly not the worse we've ever used. Nice level hardstanding pitches.

Não gostou Showers could have been a tad hotter. Bins at entrance to the site so a far walk away from touring pitches.

Gostou Lovely site in a peaceful location but within easy reach of main roads for easy access. Bus service at the top of the drive for buses going to Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington - we used this service as it was so much easier to jump on a bus rather than find parking options in the towns. We stayed on Killerby View which is their newest field I think and our pitch had lovely views - only slight drawback from this field was a longer walk to facilities blocks but the views are worth it. Lovely well maintained site.

Não gostou Politely being told off by staff for walking across the grass between pitches. You have to walk across the grass between pitches to gain access to Killberby View field from the bottom field so one minute its okay to do it but then apparently its not!!! I did point out that the signs around the site are a bit confusing then and should be clearer as the only sign I saw said about keeping dogs on short lead past the caravans, suggesting its okay to walk past the caravans. There were no signs saying "do not walk on the grass" which is needed if that's the case.

Gostou Location, easily accessible. Used this site as a stopover to North Yorkshire, but it's so close to York would be ideal for that as well. Facilities more than adequate. Gravel pitch which was level so that's always a bonus. Site could do with a little more TLC when it comes to appearance - gravel pitches had a lot of weeds in which then makes it look a bit uncared for. Didn't met any staff as arrived late but email communication was very efficient. Would stay again as ideal as a stopover.

Gostou Lovely site with the added bonus of an onsite bar and food van at peak times. We booked not realising there was live entertainment on the Saturday night so that was an extra bonus. Loved that we could book a late stay for an additional fee - I wish more campsites offered this option as it's so handy if you are just going away Friday after work for the weekend. Facilities - 3 ladies toilets, 2 toilets and urinal in men's and a seperate disabled shower/toilet. There are then 4 unisex shower cubicles and inside washing up facilities. All spotlessly clean. This was our first stay and is local to us so will definitely be back. Slight hum of traffic in the background but certainly not enough to put you off coming here. They don't have any hardstanding (which would always be our preference) but our grass pitch was level so didn't need to use chocks. There seems to be a lack of sites in this area that are open all year so if they added some hardstanding pitches I'm sure they would get booked up even over the winter. Ely is lovely to visit and site handy for visits to Cambridge as well. All in all an excellent weekend.

Gostou Lovely campsite with riverside pitches.Toilets and showers which are basic but more than functional and as others have said, they could do with a deep clean (ie floors) but sinks and worktops always clean - facilities more than functional. Very handy garage with shop just outside the site entrance. There is traffic noise as near A roads but this didn't bother us during the day and as it was a hot weekend we had a fan on all night so then couldn't hear any overnight traffic. Bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper though. Enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. Wifi also good.

Não gostou Didn't dislike anything. Toilets/showers could be updated but more than functional so don't let this put you off.

Gostou Loved this site. So much greenery and open space, large pitches and nice local walks nearby. Was a busy bank holiday stay but didn't have to wait at all for showers or toilets which was a bonus. Stayed on adult only area. Narrow road going to site didn't last for that long and than paying places or flat verges much of the way. Would stay again.

Não gostou Shame the bar/restaurant wasn't open more. Feels like they are missing a trick here, as there isn't anything within walking distance so shame they don't open it up for longer and consider doing more of a coffee shop arrangement during the day. Also no fault of the site but had a nice adult only pitch but surrounded by yappy dogs!! More sites need to consider doing no dog areas as well.

Gostou Great campsite with clean facilities and some lovely walks close by. Our Pitch was on Meadowfield which was spacious and hardstanding - also close to the toilet and shower block which was an added bonus. We have stayed here before and will be back

Não gostou Not all showers had a bench in so if you like somewhere to put your bag etc other than a peg or on the floor check all cubicles. The shelf for toiletries in the showers was also not really big enough. Wouldn't stop me going back but just to let people know. TV signal wasn't the best so bare this in mind if thats important to you.

Gostou Stayed here for a weekend. Lovely, well maintained site in peaceful surroundings. Only 2 showers and toilets in ladies block but didn't have to wait for either at any point. The showers and toilets were clean but as others have said could do with a little updating in places. I couldn't get the shower dial in one shower to move at all and couldn't adjust temperature in the other shower so shower wasn't very hot but that could have been my error as wasn't sure how the shower worked. The shower was lovely and powerful though so if I could have increased the temperature would have been a lovely shower. Grass pitches, mostly level. We would definitely stay here again.

Não gostou No hardstanding pitches which is a shame so would only stay here outside of winter months.

Gostou Really lovely site with great facilities and in a lovely location. We had food and drink at the pub which we enjoyed. Easy access to buses from the site at the top of the road. The road from the site is a bit narrow in places but most of the road in you can get past another vehicle with care. We went the week before the Summer holidays started and had to wait a few times for the nicer showers, but there are plenty of showers in the older block. I personally wouldn't want to stay here in the school holiday's as we prefer quieter sites but can see why this site is popular for families. The site is near Chesil Beach but you can't access this beach from the site. Staff on site are very friendly and check in was efficient and well organised. Would stay again if in the area and outside school holidays.

Não gostou We couldn't get any TV signal, wasn't too much of an issue for us but worth mentioning if this is a must for you whilst on holiday.

Gostou Nice site in a quiet location. Owner was very friendly. A lot of seasonal pitches but this seems to be common these days and people were very friendly. Enjoyed our few days away but felt a few small changes would make all the difference - see below.

Não gostou Suggestions rather than dislikes to make the site even better: - No bench/seat in shower cubicle, did have 2 hooks behind door. Even adding a small plastic stool would be really useful so there is somewhere to pop a bag down, sit etc. - Toiletries holder/shelf - only 1 of the showers had somewhere to put your toiletries so they are grabable whilst in the shower. - Covid signs still displayed. Do people really want to be reminded of this time? Maybe its a Welsh Government requirement but if not maybe remove these.

Gostou Had a lovely stay. Site has very large pitches with really nice toilet and showers. Some nice scenery can be seen from the site as well. Couldn't pick up much of a TV signal but wouldn't stop us staying here again. We ate and had drinks at the nearby White House restaurant/spa which was also really nice. Easy to reach many of the coastal places along the coastline as site is just off the A55. We could hear the traffic as a distant humm but didn't bother us. Lovely and quiet during our stay which was a bonus.

Não gostou Nothing really within walking distance ie. shop and no public transport within reasonable walking distance so definitely have to drive everywhere.

Gostou Lovely setting. Very peaceful with really nice toilet and shower facilities. Easy check-in and friendly staff. We didn't eat at the pub as it was fully booked upon our arrival and we hadn't prebooked but pub was atmospheric. Only stayed 1 night on route to North Wales but would definitely stay again if in the area.

Gostou Lovely campsite situated behind The Old Bush Pub. Pub is fantastic with delicious food and such friendly staff and locals. There is also a cafe on site which does breakfasts, coffees and cakes and a small shop. All in all a lovely place to stay and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we are in the area.
