Loads to do lovely clean friendly site

Some reviews I read criticised the toilet and shower facilities for being old, unclean with cold water. Didn’t find that to be the case at all. Clean, modern building with everything in it you could need. Push tap showers just needed a couple of presses and then there was plenty of warm water- in much the same way as you wait a few minutes at home!
Railway station to resorts up and down the coast is very close by with regular services. Friendly staff and customers made the break work for me and my 3 young boys, but readers be aware- make sure you bring some activities for your kids to do as there is none provided on the camping site itself, although there is a bar and larger site with an indoor pool you can use for a small fee a short distance away. Location was great with plenty of shops and restaurants in the local area and so much stuff to do in the vicinity too.
No WiFi provided, which was great as it helped with the kids not relying too much on their devices!! (I especially liked that!! 🥳)

If you are in any way put off by some of the other reviews, don’t be. This was our first camping trip as a family and there wasn’t a thing i would have done differently and will definitely be returning.

If you are looking for a camp site with kids entertainment and a pool and all that stuff included on the site itself, this isn’t the place for you. That wasn’t the case for us as we spent most of our daytime exploring the area and wouldn’t have used much of that stuff anyway!

The caravan park was clean, the toilets and showers were clean, supermarket down the road, close to the beach.

The closeness of pitches to other pitches.

Great location, next to train station, beach, short walk from shop, amusements, food vendors, gorgeous sunsets

Dirty showers/toilet block, spiders all over the ceiling not nice

The place was perfect, well kept lovely mix of camping pod, grass pitches with and without power and camper-van / caravan hard standings.

Beautiful sone wall surrounded most of the site, lovely clean showers and toilet block, protected by coded locks.

Security barrier with pin to enter camping area, and two sets of bins in walled areas.

Lots of places to eat onsite and off, lovely snack shack near beach, serving, breakfast muffins, coffee and amazing ice creams.

All topped off by a view of the sea, but unfortunately not quite the beach 🏖️ only a short 10min walk away, and dog friendly too.

The road that accesses both the camp site, caravan parks, and beach is very narrow in many places and car do tend to speed down the road, so with the dog on several occasions felt vehicles ignored people on road too much.

We took the edge of a short walk access to the beach and wonderful coastline.

Location to the beach and amenities. Train station 5 mins walk away which was great for going into Barmouth. The views of the mountains were great.

The photos are misleading as the sea view is not from this site as the beach is a lot further away than the pictures show!!

£42 per night I expected better!!
Reception was closed when we arrived and had to phone to find out pitch number, gate code, toilet code. No wifi

We asked for a sea view pitch and instead got a view of the waste dump!! We were told because we booked through pitch up.com that was the pitch we’d get even though there were sea view pitches empty during our whole stay of 5 nights!!

The Reception was constantly closed and no information on local area, security etc.
The toilet blocks very basic and the toilet waste area was a health hazard.

The camp site was clean and quiet but the area vibrant with plenty to do nearby,we loved our stay thank you so much ☺️

We didn't book for long enough!

Everything. How clean the toilets and showers and Field is. It’s really close to the beach. This is my second year coming to the site and I’ll probably be back again next year

Loved the site and everything about it, sea views, mountain views , good energy , loads for children to do.
