A lovely site with a shallow river, suitable for wading and paddling, running through it. Site was quiet and seemed to have mostly families. There’s a well equipped shop and a pub onsite (I can’t comment upon it as we didn’t frequent it). The little ones in the group seem to enjoy the play parks and the games area.
There are lovely walks to the castle and surrounding areas.
There are lots of lovely pubs and shops in Eamont.
Cranstons food hall is also close by (fantastic meat for bbq)

Beautiful area and very peaceful. We were camping and its not a huge site so we were close to the facilities, the pitch sizes are generous, the staff were all friendly and helpful and even loaned us an extension cable for our electric hookup for the whole 10 days, the bakery on site put out some lovely food. We will definitely be back. We had a great time.

Erm...not much to say here really, there's very little to dislike. The shop could've been a bit better stocked but that's about it. Not a big deal.

Lovely site. Only stayed for the night as travelling to kendal calling next morning. Good facilities. Nice quiet site despite it being almost full

There was plenty to do on site with a shop/ cafe, games room play areas and bar. Our kids are 13 and 18 so meant there was something for everyone. The nearest village was within walking distance which allowed us to venture out without the van. We were able to paddle board on the river surrounding the campsite which kept us all busy for the majority of the day

The motorhome pitches are in an area lined with trees which brought along the birds and sunrise, it didn’t wake the kids up but I was up at the crack of dawn

Teenager’s causing damage to property and tent, we left the camp site for two hours and come back to tent full of holes, branches had been poked through the tent and thrown on top from the forest area onto 4 tents alongside ours. I had spoken to the warden and residents who all advised local teenagers are on the park all the time starting fires and causing damage. They advised me to put in a complaint with Mark the manager who wasn’t interested in the slightest just said at least it’s dry for you packing up to leave then walked back into his office to see his dog. This is not a safe family friendly site, I strongly advise against coming here if you have a young family. Really dissapointed with the site and manager.

Site was nice and tidy. Toilets and showers were all lovely and clean. Loved the fact we had the river 30 second walk away, great for walks and paddle boarding. We will definitely be back!
