I really enjoyed my stay, it was lovely and peaceful and beautiful surroundings. The campsite staff were really helpful and responsive to email correspondence and very kindly let me move my booking when I was unwell for the original date and unable to travel. I'm so glad I got my trip in the end and I had a lovely stay. Thank you!

This is a super campsite! Situated behind the fabulous Lazonby outdoor heated swimming pool it is small, quiet and perfect for an overnight stop when (as we were) you are cycling the Coast to Coast route.
It overlooks the beautiful River Eden and the walk we took along the river bank in the evening was so pretty and quiet.
The pool is a fabulous asset to the village - a community venture - it is run, like the campsite by volunteers and is much loved by both locals and visitors alike. We had a swim after cycling - it was perfect! The volunteers are really lovely - very welcoming and friendly.
The campsite allows you to use the facilities at the pool - showers, toilets and there is water and a washing up area on site. The pool has a small shop where drinks and snacks can be purchased and there is a Co-op in the village for milk/bread etc. The pitches are level and the ground perfect for pitching a tent easily.
Special mention to Fiona, one of the volunteers who helped us out massively when my husbands injured knee almost put a stop to our trip. Fiona and her partner offered to carry our panniers over the Pennines to our next accommodation to make my husbands bike lighter and easier to ride over the Pennines. A very kind gesture which blew us away and ensured my husband could complete this trip. We are eternally grateful! I'd give the customer service a 10.... never mind a five!
We will be returning to Lazonby for a swim... and we would certainly recommend this campsite and the pool - lovely place and lovely people!

River, site not too big, pool nice although really cold.

Walk to toilets from pitches. Wish pool was heated.

Great volunteers running the site, lovely location near the river

Must have 15 meters electricity lead because of the site layout

Beautiful quiet little sight was very close to river eden was a beautiful place very quiet very clean will recommend highly we seen deer and rabbits plenty of sheep just a beautiful place to stay

The quietness of the site well situated by the river and a nice stroll to the co-op. Great place if you like fishing as the River Eden flows by the campsite. With the swimming pool there if you wish to use it.

No hard standing for the motorhome grass pitches only, distance to the toilets and shower was quite a distance. It’s really just suited for camping.

Great location by River Eden and a community-run outdoor pool as an added bonus!
Peaceful and small. Well maintained. Facilities are at pool - clean and perfectly functional.
Village has a good shop and there are great walks and pubs in adjacent villages. Settle to Carlisle railway runs through village.

So this pretty much just a field behind the outdoor pool but its perfectly pleasant.
No one was there to check you in or see that you were ok which suited me fine. Beside a beutfiful stretch of the river eden which can be fished by permit.

Great proximity to the river, lovely walks and a supermarket, hook up was great to have and small site, facilities were close enough to be useful and far enough to allow quiet on site
