Seeking a serene countryside setting in Alabama... to stay overnight or for a while on a safe and easily accessible park? You'll only have to drive 15 minutes from Evergreen – or three and a half miles off Interstate 65 – to reach a retreat at Country Sunshine RV Park.
Conveniently close to town and interstate it may be, but Country Sunshine is in a properly peaceful spot, in a scenic green parklike setting (see pics) with plenty of room to stroll and spread out. Each pitch has its own firepit: this is certainly a spot for alfresco eats under the stars...
Country Sunshine is a couple of miles from Castleberry and within easy reach of Brewton, Lake Stone and the Magnolia Branch Wildlife Reserve; Monroeville is 40 minutes' drive away and Andalusia 50. But do carve out some time around the grounds too: there are swings to amuse the kids, and firepits, barbecue grills and picnic tables for outdoor eating all day long and as the sun dips over the trees.

Venture north to Evergreen to access outdoor activities for all tastes in the city and Conecuh County. surrounds, such as golf year-round, fishing streams, watersports lake and hiking and biking routes. There's an old depot to wander through too, and the town mayor promises to show visitors around personally if they want to hear the tale of the town...
Another southern Alabama city to visit is Brewton (25 minutes south), where there are 10 parks to potter around, as well as the Dogwood Hills golf course and splash park for you and the kids to while away a sunny day. A 25-minute drive east, the Boggs and Boulders off-road driving park is for speedy adventures on 1,000 acres of mud bogs, marked trails, hills, rocks, pasture and deep water sections.
Also have days out at the Magnolia Branch Wildlife Reserve (30 minutes), Lake Stone in Florida (45 minutes) and the fine city of Pensacola, an hour and 25 minutes away.
