Spectacular, stunning Sardinia… and a top-notch place to explore it all from at 4 Mori Family Village, a well-equipped family park on the island’s south-eastern side.
Get to days on golden lengths of Sardinian beach easily from here or stay on the holiday park for family days among the sand dunes and other island adventure: 4 Mori is well placed for the lot. Take a look at the pics for a flavour of the facilities and activities on the park for all ages, starting with the two big outdoor pools, one for more experienced swimmers and a lagoon pool for smaller guests. Both pools are lifeguarded and are edged by sunbeds, parasols, a cosy cafeteria-bar… and an outdoor cinema.
If even this seems a little too energetic for an idle island holiday, amble over to the park’s holistic wellness centre for a massage while the kids are entertained at the junior clubs. Open year-round, the baby club has qualified staff to look after very small kids (one to three-year-olds) and a kids' club (for four to 12-year-olds) which arranges craft, play and sports. Other clubs for older kids are open during high season only.
Regular entertainment (think foam parties, music nights, shows and tournaments) runs for when you all reunite… or you could ensure the kids are thoroughly tired out by taking them along to the sports courts, the large open spaces or the games of the huge park playground. You’ll need some time at the restaurant-pizzeria too, which dishes up traditional and locally sourced Sardinian cuisine, pasta, meat and fish.
And off the holiday park? 4 Mori is under 10 minutes’ walk (about 250 metres) from a beach bar. It's a 15-minute drive from the centre of Muravera, known as 'the town of oranges', and small but well-equipped with services like shops. It's also close to gorgeous beaches on the southeast coast of Sardinia such as Costa Rei (25 minutes) and Villasimius (40 minutes). Stagno di Colostrai, a large salt pan and two ponds with flamingoes and typical Mediterranean scrub, are 10 minutes' drive away. The Sardinian capital Cagliari is an hour and 10 minutes away.

The Muravera region is nicknamed the 'Valley of Lemons' for its long tradition as a centre of citrus production… so do make sure to track a few slices down to go along with your cold drinks for the beach.
As well as the beach by the holiday park, have a day at Colostrai 10 minutes’ drive away, where the light grey sand sparkles under the sun.
It’s well worth the hour and 10 minutes’ drive to Cagliari too, a castle city dating back to Carthaginian rule in the sixth century BC. Sights to see include Poetto beach, the public gardens and the Monte Urpinu Park, the Roman amphitheatre, the medieval Old Town and the Basilica of San Saturnino; for shopping, make for the fish market and the famed department store of La Rinascente.
Vino fans can take a trip to Villaputzu (20 minutes) to sample Nuragus and Monica wine.
