Gostou Fantastic host, lovely bar (great wine list) and restaurant (amazing steak), well stocked shop and freshly baked pain au chocolat and croissants. Great find.

Gostou Amazing site in most beautiful surroundings. All facilities superb and very clean. Great shop which had everything you could want or need. Restaurant was fantastic, food was exceptional and the service by Zach and David was superb and so friendly. It was our favourite stop from so many on our way to and from Greece. Would definitely return!.

Do gerente: Hi Robert, we’re glad you found our little piece of heaven in rural France. It is worth the journey, yes. The area is beautiful no matter what time of the year. The roads can be, very occasionally, narrow, if you go the wrong route. We have hundreds and hundreds of competent drivers who happily navigate those roads without complaint, so I’m sorry you personally felt it somewhat overwhelming for you. Maybe in the future read the directions better in advance instead of blindly following a GPS…..

I am, however, quite saddened by your other comments and review.

Firstly, you booking and paying 26 instead of 15 is not my error, that is yours. I can not do anything about your error. It’s different companies. PitchUp and ACSI ARE DIFFERENT BUSINESSES. You want the discount that ASCI offers then don’t book through a different business.

Secondly, your personal comment that there are codes everywhere and it is complicated is a lie. There are only two codes … one for the sanitary block and one for the elsan which are the SAME code. Thats it. Also, the code to the sanitary block is open 90 percent of the time anyway as hundreds of previous customers will agree.

Gostou We stayed one night in this small lovely and quiet campsite. Nice views and has everything you need. Well stocked shop and bar/restaurant used by locals. We will most definitely be back.

Gostou Small campsite with natural feel - lots of trees. Great shop and can order bread and pastries. Good restaurant. Friendly staff. Hot showers with normal taps. Toilets with seats. Pretty location with good walks and cycle routes nearby.

Não gostou Hookups were a long distance from pitches.

Just a little note… when booking in we do advise guests to make sure they have cable long enough to reach electrical outlets.

Guests are allowed to choose wherever they like. Generally half the pitches need a ten foot cable, the rest up to a 20 foot cable and if you ask any of our lovely staff we can and will happily supply you with an extension so you can reach your desired spot.

Gostou Location, restaurant and shop on site and food was lovely.

Não gostou A little unloved / scruffy. In the men’s only 1 out of 3 showers working properly (although it was one of the best showers I’ve encountered on a site). 1 out of 2 urinals working. Just needed some TLC.

We are very happy you enjoyed our restaurant, you are the first of a very few who have experienced our amazing new chef and his creations for the new year ahead. He has taken loved, classic dishes and made them even more magical and delicious. We are incredibly happy with him and to have found a true gem finally. We are already salivating to see what other wonderful creations he has under his marvellous chefs hat.

Our campsite has had little ups and downs this year, with wet weather and machinery issues, a lot of sites across France have suffered with the unusually wet year, so on behalf of us and them we apologise for a little scruff around the edges. I will add though, we are English owned, but we aren’t English obsessed with straight lawn lines and precision box hedges. We prefer nature as nature should be, with being in one of the most rural and beautiful areas of France, winning many awards for it, we will continue to go 30/70 in natures favour. We just simply much prefer what the butterflies and birds etc… have to offer than an unnatural, institutional look and feel. I’ve personally been to camp grounds mowed to death, that are less camping, more just soulless parking areas where you’re told where to camp by unfriendly, mini-me-wannabe-military, humourless staff. No nature, no real camping, no real outdoors feel. We’ve been advised many times over the years to concrete more areas, to tarmac more, to cut down 100 plus year old trees, to install mobile homes and generally destroy nature. We said no and have been happy to do so.

Regarding showers, as I have mentioned to a previous guest, we are at the end of yet another busy season and all the love, care and attention is coming in November when it is planned every year after staff holidays and it finally quietens into winter. Being a campsite and shop and restaurant open all year round our maintenance schedule differs from the majority of French sites as they usually close October to April. We do do it differently here and we’re pleased to say it’s worked very well as our awards confirm.

Thank you again for staying with us, hopefully you do return and you can then use all our new sanitary block upgrades to your hearts content. Take care and annoy your camping adventures.

Facilities a little dated but functional.
Very quiet..can order bread and croissant hot and ready at 8am.

We had a very good 3 course lunch and coffee for 27 euro

Não gostou Did not find grey water drainage spot.
A fair way off track.
