Adicione os dados da sua empresaStroll to the beach just by the site or settle in by one of the three large swimming pools… such are the main dilemmas facing folk staying at SunLodge at Camping Valkanela, a family-friendly Istria site right on the beachfront two kilometres north of Vrsar.
Yes indeed, there’s a well-kept pebble beach right next to this site, and you can wander out there any time you like for sunbathing or swims in the clear waters of the Adriatic. Volleyball courts and watersports (including canoeing, jetskiing and scuba diving) are on hand too if you need a little seaside activity.
Away from the beach, life revolves around the swimming pools, but there’s also scope for tennis, miniature golf, table tennis and various games at the multisports court, or hiring bikes to pedal along nearby cycle paths. There’s a playground and trampoline to keep the kids busy too, and the entertainment team organise all sorts of activities including sports tournaments, craft workshops and talent shows.
Enough of all this activity? Don’t worry – there are plenty of places to relax under the shade of the pine trees, or you could flop in the TV room for a while. There are restaurants on site too, with takeaways if you’d like to go back to the beach or have a cosy evening on your terrace.
For self-catered meals, pick up bits at the site shop and cook something up in your caravan’s well-equipped kitchen.

Atrações locais
If you don’t fancy going very far, make use of the local activity centres – you can sort out days of jetskiing, windsurfing and scuba diving within a few minutes’ walk, or take a stroll around Sculpture Park Dzamonja (10 minutes’ walk). A boat tour company five minutes’ drive away in Funtana can organise dolphin-spotting tours or speedboat trips with snorkelling and cave stops along the way.
For something that’ll grab the kids’ attention, try the slides of Aquapark Aquacolors (five minutes’ drive) or take a 10-minute walk to Dinopark Funtana to meet life-sized dinosaurs. There are more slides at Aquapark Istralandia (half an hour's drive) too.
Take more of a taste of the area’s history and culture with wanders around pretty Poreč (10 minutes’ drive), laidback Vrsar (15 minutes) and the colourful houses of Rovinj (40 minutes). The abandoned medieval town of Dvigrad (half an hour) and the karst caverns Jama - Grotta Baredine (15 minutes) are worth a look too.
