Sunnyside Glamping

Experience the real Wiltshire countryside from your pitch at Sunnyside Glamping, a rural smallholding based between the villages of Lydeway and Stert on the main road to Devizes. Set in approximately four acres of gardens and paddock, the site has a small collection of fully-furnished bell tents, as well as a communal canopy with a water tap and honesty shop. You're welcome to relax in the comfort and privacy of your own tent and while away the hours reading, toasting marshmallows around the firepit and snoozing. Or, if you'd prefer to get in on the action, there are animal experiences available where you can get stuck in with feeding the sheep, grooming the ponies and petting the birds – just don't forget to pack your wellies. Once you've got to grips with the place, wander down to the wooded area to find the fairy garden and relax on the nest swing, or dive into the trunk of outdoor toys to get your game on. The chickens lay fresh eggs every morning that guests are welcome to collect for breakfast, whilst the Indian runner ducks Loki, Shuri and Buchanan keep everyone entertained with their mischief when roaming the grounds on snail duty. The tents are very comfortable and well set up, but the shared facilities are on the simple side – a composting toilet and a hot gas-powered open air shower cubicle. Please note that there is a relatively quiet train line used by slow trains adjacent the paddock, which cannot be seen because of dense hedging. Services are infrequent and do not run through the night, so you can look forward to an undisturbed night's rest.
