Sandford Holiday Park

Gostou We stayed at the Medium Meadow Pitch. The toilets, showers, and washing-up facilities were clean and well maintained. It was our first camping experience with our 3-year-old child, and overall we were very happy with our stay. It’s a great place for families with children. We would say it offers excellent value for money. For us, it was a 9 out of 10 experience. We would definitely consider coming back again.

Não gostou There was an issue with the swimming pool so the pool was closed for a while. The cleanliness of the inside of the pool could be improved.

Gostou Always great here, good laughs and grandkids loved it.

Não gostou Paid for a serviced pitch. When we got there someone was half on ours so could not get set up because of no room, so they moved us to another, which again had no room, then just told us to park at the end with plenty of room. No serviced pitch though, electric, yes water had to trundle to taps to fill up when I paid for not having to.
Still love the place and will go again but will state the pitch we want next time, if not available we will look elsewhere

Não gostou The first pitch as terrible. Right on end next to road side, where everyone comes in and out. Tree hitting back of van. More 3 times in the end. The next pitch they gave us someone was on their

Gostou Very clean toilets and shower and a good pitch

Não gostou Pool opening hours strange but biggest shock was price of food in the restaurant. Very very expensive so hardly anybody ate there.

Gostou Good clean well maintained shower & toilet facilities. We were on an electric pitch these had a hedge on three sides giving shelter and privacy. There were a variety of food outlets and a well stocked shop for food. There is a large outdoor pool with lifeguards.

Gostou Pleasant staff on arrival who were informative and welcoming.
When we requested a change of pitch we were given options that we could look at which suited our requirements better. All options were acceptable.
Accessibility of public transport. Bus stops outside main entrance.
Options for eating if one did not want to cook.
Bar/restaurant not overpriced.
Toilets showers cleaned frequently. Although one block was out of action when we arrived, another 2 blocks were within easy reach.
Campervan pitches within easy access of fresh water and hook-up available.

Gostou Nothing

Não gostou Touring pitch was what seemed like ash and dirt mixed together
Pitch was constantly in the shade due to the amount of trees around the pitch
People kept using the pitch as a short cut to get to the toilets which meant they walked along side our Touring caravan and kept looking in
Didn't see anyone cleaning the toilet block at anytime during the day
Should have been there for the week but lasted 24 hours before we decided to pack up and book on another site
