We do aim to provide a traditional camping experience, with a natural grass site and simple, functional facilities rather than modern ‘glamping-style’ amenities. Our facilities are regularly cleaned and maintained, but we appreciate they may feel more basic compared to larger commercial holiday parks.

Regarding dogs, we do make a small charge to help cover additional maintenance of the grounds, there are currently numerous bins for any disposal, and a large field beside the camping field for walking a dog. Other than that we have no other facilities.

We appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome guests who are looking for a quiet, relaxed and more traditional camping environment.”

Gostou Would have been nice if the pitches hadn’t been waterlogged!

Não gostou We had to park in a carpark as the grass pitches were waterlogged.
The toilets and showers were basic at best.
The walk into Bude involved dicing with death crossing the A39, then walking through an industrial estate! When we finally found the path it was completely underwater!! I know this was not the campsites fault but I think they should warn you when you check in that the path is currently impassable and the “walk” would be extremely tricky with young children!
We booked and paid for three nights but only stayed one night.

We are sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations. However, we feel it is important to clarify some key points for the benefit of future guests.

At the time of your visit, following an exceptionally wet winter, our grass pitches were clearly unsuitable for large vehicles. Your booking was made with a registration for a standard car, and we were not informed that you would be arriving in an oversized motorhome. On arrival, we therefore allocated you a suitable hard-standing pitch designed specifically for larger vehicles in winter conditions.

Unfortunately, despite this, your vehicle was driven onto restricted grass areas, where it became stuck, requiring recovery assistance with a tractor. This caused disruption and was outside the guidance given on arrival.

Regarding site conditions, we are a rural campsite and temporary weather-related limitations (such as waterlogged ground and local footpaths) can occur, particularly in early spring. We always do our best to accommodate guests safely and appropriately within those conditions.

We are sorry you chose to leave early, but we believe the review does not fully reflect the circumstances or the efforts made by our team to assist you during your stay.

Gostou Big pitches. Nice and quiet.

Não gostou Washroom facilities not very clean. No plug for sink. Hot water too hot to use. Shower was just a trickle.

Gostou Location was good
The grounds were beautiful and well tended .
Shower water was hot
There was toilet roll despite being advised to take your own !

Não gostou The shower/bath/toilet room was a disgrace ,it was filthy.The shower is in the bath which didn’t drain and there is no privacy anyone can looked into the room as only a thin ripped cover on the window .
The sinks for dishes was again filthy and there was no hot water .

Gostou A really nice environment, palm trees and flowering plants everywhere.

Não gostou The toilets and showers are very poor. Sat amongst trees and bushes, so expect spiders. Each unit has a wooden rustic door with a gate latch. No indication if in use or not, so expect to jump when someone trys the latch. Poorly fitting doors mean you can actually see through the 15mm gaps around it, pretty sure there are regulations about that. The individual shows have a tarmac floor, which has been painted green.
No hard standings, so very tricky in the rain we've just had Sept 2025

Gostou Flower borders were nice but that was about it !!!!

Não gostou No one at reception to show us where to go or where our pitches were, pitch numbers missing, toilets and showers were scruffy and the actual pan was loose in one of the toilets, not cleaned regularly. Refuse bins were overflowing, asked about wi-fi when at last found someone, and had a grumpy sort it yourself response. The site just appeared to be run down and not any real maintenance for some time. One of the worst sites we have been on for years.
