Fallow Fields - Lathe Barn

Gostou: Loved our time here !
It was our first time camping as a family with a 2 year old.
The facilities were lovely , hot clean showers, clean toilets, nice open set up cleaning area, conveniently located, Lovely play areas for children indoor and outdoor. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Grounds were beautiful
Good location was a short cycle to the beach ⛱️ overall a pleasant and lovely experience we would definitely do camping here again.

Gostou: Great size pitch, mostly quite n peaceful. Lots to do.. All campers were respectful people

Não gostou: Unfortunately the toilet was out of use for 2 days so had a long walk to the next one

Gostou: The facilities are excellent, showers & toilets are lovely kept very clean and plenty of hot water. Also large area for washing up and fire pit and wood available on site. Pitches are spacious and spread out. Had an excellent stay and would highly recommend! Staff are friendly and always on hand if you need help with anything!

Gostou: Loved the amount of activities on offer. My children did bushcraft session which they loved and gave us 90 mins peace. The soft play was great and it was handy having a small shop and bar. The place felt safe and the showers were actually hot which was great.

Do gerente: Hi, thank you for your feedback. Being a family-friendly campsite we provide a safe space for children to run free and have fun. We apologise that this isn’t what you were looking for in a stay. Regarding the ‘smelly amenities’, our toilet and shower blocks are checked and cleaned regularly, however we will reinforce this with the staff and find the best possible solution to stay on top of this during the peak times in the summer holidays.

Gostou: Loved how peaceful, spacious, clean and safe the area and the surrounding facilities were. We camped for the first time ever.

Não gostou: Some adults and children didn't respect the 10.30pm quiet rule and were laughing or running around at midnight. Not good if you want to get a good sleep

Having a clean, safe site is something imperative for us so we are thrilled that you enjoyed your first camping trip! We apologise about the level of noise on site, our 10:30pm quiet time is explained to all campers when booking their stay, as well as when checking in to the site. Our staff do a walk-around at night to make sure noise levels are low, however we understand that some of our customers do disobey these rules. Although this is infrequent, we will continue to explain these rules to customers who are noisy, increase our signage on site, and ensure we provide a peaceful environment, as intended. We hope this didn’t affect your stay and look forward to seeing you again at Fallow Fields.

Gostou: The site is a wonderful size, the playing fields and areas for children are great. The touches like family movie on a Saturday night, the pizzas and the cafe in the shop are brilliant.

The facilities are to a lovely standard and the showers are powerful and hot (if a little too warm sometimes which is unheard of camping).

Não gostou: We booked as a group via pitch-up and despite following instructions on here we weren’t next to those we were going with. We weren’t too far away and it worked ok, but apparently you can pay to book a specific pitch via their direct website, which meant no pitches next to each other were available, despite booking months in advance.

Gostou: Lovely field and things for children such as soft play, swing ball, giant drafts and badminton. Plus bookable activities. A well stocked shop and some cooked food options. I was worried about not being able to park up next to pitch but you could drive up to unload and car park was really nearby so it wasn't a problem at all. Washing up station good. The views were lovely and near Port Lympne. Friendly helpful staff.

Não gostou: Toilets and water tap in the field weren't operational so had to walk to the main block. Toilets and showers were OK but could have been a bit better maintained. It wouldn't put me off going but the children were scared to use them because of the spiders! Activities too expensive.

We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and everything that we have to offer as well as the running’s of the site and picturesque location! We apologise that the two w/c’s in the field were out of action, leaving the remaining 6 w/c’s in the adjacent field. The mains water pressure drop (outside of our control) was the issue. We have since increased storage to prevent this in future. Our toilet and shower blocks are regularly checked and cleaned, and we are frequently praised for our diligence – however, there is always room for improvement and we will continue to be vigilant to ensure we offer clean facilities.

Through doing research we have found that our activity prices are very reasonable, our team work thoroughly to deliver the best, informative sessions to our customers at a fair price. We hope that this didn’t affect your stay and hope to welcome you back in the future.

Gostou: A lot of space, clean, friendly

Não gostou: Not a lot to do for teenagers.
A free Wlan at the reception would be beneficial for foreigners.
