Claylands Caravan Park

Gostou Beautifully kept park, very large pitches with EHU fresh water stand pipe on the camping area, large play area for the kids, plus access to the river were we spent an afternoon kids loved playing and fishing and paddling, toilets /showers lovely and clean, reception staff very friendly, small shop with basic necessities, we didn’t use the bar but everything looked lovely, kids loved the free roaming ducks/ducklings, quiete and peacefull place to stay.

Não gostou the walk to the bathroom is a good couple of minutes walk up a slight incline which is fine during the day but not so good during the night for small kids, the water in the showers was very hot and unsuitable for kids but fine for adults.

Gostou The site is immaculate! Great facilities, friendly staff and easy to find.

Não gostou I didn't realise we would be staying right underneath a huge row of electrical pylons. My fault for not reading the reviewd as they are mentioned a lot. The static electricity from these effected most metal surfaces in our tent, not enough to shock us but enough that they all felt odd to touch and it set us both on edge knowing there was some electrical charge being conducted. We wouldn't want to stay again due to this sadly.

Gostou Checked in by a lovely lady in reception - we were given instructions of where to go, what facilities we could use. We didn't use the electric hook up as we are self sufficient. We also didn't use the WIFI. We were in bay 6 right next to the pond. The site is so peaceful with plenty ducks to keep you entertained and if you are lucky the cows come to the gate for a scratch. We had food in the Stepping Stones Restaurant and had the rump steak......it was so good. The bar staff were lovely and very helpful. We sat in the conservatory for the meal and the views were beautiful. We spent one of the days fishing ( hubby's past time ) £6 per day to fish. The pond is well stocked and we got a few big ones. The site itself is clean, tidy and very quiet. We have booked again to come in Sept for a couple of nights.
