With reference to the train line which is two fields away, it is the mainline between London and Scotland and was here long before we were. At different times of the year we have various steam trains including the Flying Scotsman go past which most people love to see.
You are correct when the tenting field is full , all 12 pitches can interrupt the view at certain spots but are well spaced. Your own pitch has hard standing gravel for your unit and then the same size of grassed space at the side for your use totalling 8x8 meters.
The shower block is away from your pitch but takes between a minute and 2 to walk there and at night the park has street lights. The bins are in the same spot and encourage customers to dispose of their rubbish as the leave.
We are surprised you felt the showers were small as they have the wet space and a dry space and we have not had that comment before.
As with all businesses the costs are reflecting increases across the board that we need to pay. We are a small family owned site that we are very proud of and all comments are welcome and reflected on.

Gostou Nice quiet pitch hard standing , fishing lakes great for kids fishing hobby, toilet block clean and presentable very friendly reception. Even when we had an issue with electricity they came out straight away and resolved it , turned out to be our van (newbie van owners) you can hear the trains and occasional motorway traffic however didn't bother any of us

Não gostou Toilet block is a walk away from pitch thats our only issue but understand why it's located where it is

Gostou Great pitch and very clean, toilet block very clean. We had breakfast and dinner in Stepping Stones pub on site absolutely brilliant food would definitely recommend and go again

Gostou Nothing

Não gostou On arrival it was. £20 refundable deposit for a fob and £20 for electric which went on the first night woke us all up went to take my 6 year old to the park there was thick black smoke blowing over the park had to leave toilet and shower block are at main entrance left 2 days early wouldn’t return the lady on reception was lovely I feel we was ripped off massively for a week and the pub and restaurant was closed for refurbishment

We are very sorry regarding the smoke etc, the wind changed direction and we couldn't do a lot about it , sorry.
With regards to the electric, we have been in an unfortunate situation regarding our commercial contract which we are released from now and have reduced the cost per unit by 13p so hopefully we can all sleep easier.
We had asked that all arrivals be informed of our situation with the restaurant, which opened this Friday, although a week later than anticipated.
If you feel that in the nicer weather you could bring yourselves to return, please do not hesitate to call the office and speak to me personally, (Andrew ) and will do all within my powers to try and rectify your awful experience.

Gostou Like the location. Pitches very well maintained. Very spacious. Pleasant welcome. Restaurant on site and also pub.

Não gostou Didn’t really dislike anything. Didn’t get to say it all because of the time of year and the fact that it was dark when we got there.

Gostou The shower block and facility.
Very clean and very comfortably warm!
The radio being played constantly was also a very pleasant addition.
Lots of information around and in the shower block

Não gostou We’ve a campervan, so once parked up, we didn’t drive anywhere.
Bus stop at bottom of a long lane, we didn’t use it.
