Cheshire countryside, anyone? In a setting that's quite rightly been pointed out as central to pretty much anywhere? Easily sorted when pitching up at Sunny Side Touring Park. Set in green countryside with loads of open space, this site is central indeed: it's about 20 minutes by car to the Welsh border from here, 45 minutes to Wrexham, 50 to Shrewsbury and Chester, an hour to Alton Towers, and an hour and 15 minutes to both Liverpool and Manchester. And if you're after a peaceful base where you don't want to wander far at all? Also easily sorted, as Sunny Side Touring Park's Nantwich setting is metres from the Shropshire Union Canal for spectacularly scenic strolls or bike rides along the water. There's also a warm, welcoming bar serving delicious food on site. On site, there are two specimen fishing lakes where guests can fish for an extra cost. They stock carp up to 40 pounds and catfish up to 70 pounds. The site is family-run, quiet and relaxed. Barbecues and campfires (off-ground only) are both allowed, and logs are for sale on site. Sort other supplies a couple of miles away in the friendly little village of Audlem, where there are restaurants and pubs as well as shops. A handy utilities room on site gives guests access to a washing machine, washing-up sinks, a microwave and a kettle.

Gostou Only had one night here but it is an absolutely immaculate and well presented site. It has everything you need including it's own pub. Also nice and quiet. Would highly recommend it.

Sunny Field Lote de grama com eletricidade

Gostou Beautiful park. Lots of touring caravans with no one in them so this day was really quiet which we loved. Friday and Saturday there were a few people. This is mid September.
The staff at Coole fisheries are amazing. Answered enquiries immediately via messenger. Food amazing and bar and grounds so pretty and vast.

Não gostou No one at the shop or reception so have to phone for any enquiries like password to wifi. No one about to help. Snack van never opened as specified either. I did email to ask but no one answered.
Disabled shower is useless. Too small for my carer to help me and seat out of shower not inside which is pointless.Shower comes on for a few seconds so impossible to wash plus no removable shower head.
Disabled toilet is ok I guess but barely.
The worst thing which is common but such a problem for wheelchairs is that it’s impossible to get across. I managed to get across the grass and some empty caravan pitches at the fishery and make it to the pub but never got to see the lakes.
There’s also a grass section in the middle so children congregate and play games and squeal which drove me mad
For £42 a night I would have expected better customer service and better facilities for disabled people

I'm Sharon the owner I'm also the one who answered you back on messenger about the bar opening times. My number is on the website and office door so customers can ring at anytime. Unfortunately our wardens retired a couple of weeks ago so its only me running both sunnyside and coole acres fishery as the same business . Phill was helping me out he's very polite and try's to help as much as he can.. I'm so sorry that you disliked your stay with us but at least you likes the fishery side... We do not have the catering van anymore only the bar and café and you enjoyed the food there. In regards to the hard standing unfortunately that's what our local authority's passed us for so out of my control We are a family site so would expect for kids to be playing around. Hope you try us again in the future xx

Gostou Very welcoming. Nice size fully serviced pitch. Everywhere very clean and tidy. Very peaceful location, some nice walks from site to the marina or if you want bit longer along the canal into Audlem. Had Sunday lunch in the Stagger Inn the onsite pub, it was delicious and very reasonably priced.

Não gostou The showers were nice and hot but they don't stay on at all. Had to keep my hand on the push switch on shower to keep it on which is a bit annoying when trying to wash.

Gostou Nice site, with a pub that sells food. Close to plenty of walks and local towns

Não gostou Shop and catering van wasnt open much in Sept this year so had to purchase breakfast from the pub which is quite expensive. Easily resolved by being more prepared though.

Gostou Lots of space, electric and fresh water, nice bar, clean toilets and showers which were hot,lots of walks and lakes to go fishing, washing facilities washing machine and place to wash dishes etc.

Atrações locais

The canal and a public footpath alongside are steps from the site. From Nantwich, stroll the couple of miles along the level canal towpath for views over town and the Cheshire countryside, passing the Chester Road viaduct and many moored and cruising narrowboats (to get truly envious, lurk around the marina at Basin End). A couple of pubs at Audlem overlook the canal if/when you require a pitstop. To dive into all things canal and have a natter on the same with knowledgeable types, drop into the Nantwich Canal Centre within 10 minutes' drive. You could also have mightily peaceful potters around the town's shops and wine bars, or the market that runs most days. The leisure centre has an outdoor saltwater pool for dips. Another market town is at Whitchurch, 20 minutes' drive away and two miles from the Welsh border. It's well worth a wander to see its 100+ listed buildings, and to bag foodie supplies from the specialty shops in town: cheese and pork pies are the top picks to hunt down here. From Whitchurch, you can take the train to Manchester, reachable in an hour to the north, or Shrewsbury, half an hour south.
