Feel free as a bird at award-winning Crows Nest Caravan Park between Scarborough and Filey – this well-maintained place is roomy, green and has sea views overlooking gorgeous Gristhorpe Bay and Scarborough Castle. Crows Nest is five miles from Scarborough and two and a half miles from Filey, but if you’re taking a break from the seaside/ exploring the North Yorkshire coast there’s loads to do on site too: a lounge bar with entertainment in peak season to suit all ages and tastes, a family bar with pool tables, a games room, a play area for little fledglings and a heated indoor pool with poolside assistants during high season. The award-winning amenities block a short walk from the tent field has free hot showers, wash basins, hairdryers and socket/shaver points, and there are also family bathrooms and a disabled-access shower room. Elsewhere on site there’s a washing-up area, launderette, chemical disposal point and well-stocked supermarket. And, as you can’t come to the coast and not have fish and chips, there’s also a chippy takeaway open in high season (but they do have more fish and chips in Scarborough too). Bringing the family friend? Crows Nest Caravan Park is dog-friendly and dogs are allowed in the conservatory area of the lounge bar; there's also a dog park on site.

Gostou Lovely campsite super clean toilet shower block, washing up sinks and waste disposal ect all available at no extra charge. Even hair dryers are a nice added bonus. The little swimming pool is definitely worth a trip. Its tiny but the kids, and big kids had a brilliant time. The bar has a lovely family feel to it, very village type atmosphere. Lacking in actual entertainment but overall I'd definitely stay here again.

Despite the fact the first night we pitched up at the top of the hill right in the middle of the field. Thinking this was safest option for the kids 😅 how wrong was we! Super windy that night so our tent and a few of the others there were completely obliterated. The campsite was supposed to be fully booked but so many spaces! We should have known.
Anyway after putting everything down relocation closer to the children's park and in shelter of some small trees, we survived the rest of the weekend.
The park was big and great for the kids, they spent hours there.

There's a lovely little chip shop on site too reasonably priced which was a welcome change to hot dogs and easy camping food. WiFi available and code given with paperwork. Which reached most of the park I believe.

Dont actually think we had any issues other than the fly away tent. Im sure in the summer months when the sun is shining the hill would be a lovely spot 😅. Just not when theres a good breeze!

Location is beautiful I believe i saw a bus stop outside but everything was fairly close by car. Highly reccomended

Gostou Open plan pitches made it easy to spread out. Toilet and shower blocks were immaculate!
Lots of hot water for washing up.
Reception were lovely and helpful. Plenty of parking when you first get there to check in.

Não gostou Although there was some litter onsite when we arrived. There was a litter picker around to tidy that up. So all good.

Gostou Gorgeous views. Spacious pitches as could pitch where you want (Unsure how busy it would get in summer, and how much space you would get)
Toilet block always looked clean and plenty of cubicles.

Não gostou Need levelling blocks, no matter where you pitch. Whole place seemed tired - in need of some TLC.

Gostou Spacious level pitch, quiet, well kept site. Bus stop at end of road to take you to Scarborough or Filey. Very reasonably priced, well stocked shop. Kids loved the swimming pool. Toilet and shower block kept clean. Pitch id booked didn’t have a sea view but was given option of moving to a non electric pitch for a night during our stay to experience sun rise/ sunset. Weather wasn’t very favourable so didn’t take up the offer but thought it was a lovely gesture.

Não gostou Showers weren’t very strong but they were warm and did the job.

Gostou Very clean site great toilet block and the bottom touring site very close to all the amenities.fantastic on site fish and chip dhop which doesnt inflate the prices.very friendly staff and good plsyarea for kids

Não gostou The outdoor playarea which is great could do with seating for adults who wish to supervice young kids.The very well stocked shop which is good for value is a shame it doednt stay open a bit later on an evening.You struggle to find negative points as the site is extremely good

Gostou Fantastic to be right on the Cleveland Way, great shop on site and buses from the end of the drive were really useful. Facilities were clean and plenty of showers and toilets. Great Fish and Chips shop on site and you can get food delivered from local take aways.

Não gostou Shower only stays on for a really short time so had to keep pressing the button, can be noisy with inconsiderate guests late at night but this is not a reflection on the campsite

Gostou Nice clean and tidy site. Bar area was homely and nice. Swimming was good fun. Lovely fish and chips!

Não gostou Shower area was nice enough but freezing cold. Shower water timers were silly. They turn off after a few seconds. Spend the majority of your shower turning it back on. They need to be changed as they’re obviously past their best.

Wi-Fi could do with being site wide and not just in the pub area.

Leave the car behind: buses running between Scarborough and Bridlington pick up from the end of the Crows Nest Caravan Park drive and discount day tickets are available to keep more money for seaside rock. The kids will probably clamour first for Scarborough: there are the North Bay and South Bay beaches to bounce around as well as the traditional seaside fairground and donkey rides. But Scarborough’s also a hotspot for culture vultures, with the Scarborough Open Air Theatre, Scarborough Art Gallery and Rotunda Museum alongside regular festivals and events throughout the year. Fab Filey is even closer: this Edwardian town has a five-mile stretch of sand and is backed by the peninsula and cliffs of Filey Brigg – this is the place to birdwatch and wildlife spot, with rockpools along the beach and many species of birds and beasts to see all year round. The 110-mile Cleveland Way starts here for hiking your way around Yorkshire’s history and heritage: Scarborough Castle, Whitby Abbey and Dracula tales, Mount Grace Priory and Rievaulx Abbey are all along the route. Away from the seaside and vampires, puff between Whitby and Pickering on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, veer between villages in the North York Moors National Park or get citified around York and Hull, all within easy driving distance of Crows Nest.
