Não gostou On arrival place looks so unloved,no one to check you in ,even though I’d booked well in advance for a one night stay with awning ,the only spot available was on a slope where the electricity was broken ,the toilets weren’t fit for animals and the showers the same ,outside the showers was a rubbish hopper that hadn’t been emptied in what looked like weeks,grass cuttings left at side of main drive way in a ton bag and wheel barrow that hadn’t gone brown ,the grass cutting was a joke as are rest of the grounds ,everyone we spoke to on site felt the same I’d booked to stay here with my wife and family for her 55 th birthday,we could not stay here and had to go elsewhere which wasn’t easy on a bank holiday Saturday,no one answers the phones on the message board as me and othered had tried ,please do not even consider staying on here it’s a real dump and should not be allowed to advertise on this site I paid over £50 for one night I’m hoping for a refund as it didn’t deliver what I’d asked for or advertised

Gostou The pub next door was very nice but nothing to do with site

Não gostou Had to give up are electric as wasn’t enough for everyone. Not enough room for people that was booked on for that night. 3 party’s went home or looked for different camp site. No members off staff and can’t phone anyone as the number given doesn’t answer.

Não gostou Honestly, this is the worst site we have ever been to. Massively overbooked, pitch up states there are 25 pitches however 12 people were set up this weekend and it was rammed! Around 5 people arrived this weekend and had to turn around and go home as there was no space for them.

The facilities don’t look like they have been upgraded or cleaned since installation. The water taps didn’t work at our pitch, no lamp as mention on the description. The bins weren’t emptied all weekend which in blazing heat was horrendous. No toilet roll…

We arrived and called the number as specified on the booking confirmation… no answer called another one that we found on a white board. A woman answered the phone who was in Northumberland, asked if there was room and said ‘just go where you can’.

Não gostou Bins had not been emptied for 6weeks and the grass was not cut. No kitchen wash facilities

Gostou Peaceful little site in a good location. Good size pitches.

Não gostou Lack of presence of any staff. Lots of weeds on the hard standings (more like triffids in some cases) No lights in one of the 2 toilets, no hand towels in either. Rubbish not cleared in the whole week we were there. No water on the pitch we were on, so had to run a hose to the next but one pitch to fill up our tanks

Gostou Spacious pitches, very quiet and tranquil. Toilet and shower facilities were fine if you are willing to clean up before and after your self then not a problem. Cleaning products were available if you wanted to clean before use. Which was not a problem to us.
Lovely pub on the corner called the Coachman. Good Sunday lunch and lamb kebab was delicious. Bus routes to Scarborough on the door step.
Can't wait to book up again.

Não gostou I have to say there was nothing I didn't like about this place but not being able to get in touch with owners for our pitch number on arrival as it asks you to do so on the email felt like an issue at the time but to be truthful we parked up on an empty pitch for the two nights which was fine and was not a problem.

It would be nice to have a sweeping brush to sweep grass out of toilet blocks.

Gostou Nice spacious pitches
Tidy pitches
Not too many close together
Although when we first looked to book the reviews were slightly negative, we found it clean and tidy and really quiet the pitches were spacious and it was everything we needed
We don’t use the shower rooms so we can’t comment on those but we certainly will stay here again
Also lovely pub about a minutes walk away with lovely food
A lovely relaxing stay
With lots of lovely walks on the doorstep

Gostou Peaceful, clean, quiet owner called to let us know what pitch number we would be on. Countryside views.

Não gostou No staff on site heard complaints not all electric points were working. Customers breached fire regulations by sharing one pitch for 2 vehicles others joining vehicles together this isnt a safe practice and puts everyone at risk.

Não gostou Needs updating badly toilets have been done but grass and trees need chopping badly.hook up station's need modernising hard standings need attention.We where the only people there.
