Gostou Nice spacious pitch. Owner very helpful. Phoned for help and he was with us within minutes. All facilities where clean

Não gostou Only down fall was it surrounding area was a like a building site but actual field we pitched on was lovely.

Não gostou No security. No site maintenance or cleaning. Facilities were filthy and require updating. Fully serviced pitch was not usable as nappies stuffed down grey water drain making it unusable. Whole place needs major overhaul or closing down.

Não gostou Where do I start. What the owners of this sit don't tell you when they describe it as tranquil is the fact that they also own 2 x Holiday Bran conversions within 50 - 150 meters from the tranquil site. The one that was closest actually is advertised as being able to accommodate 14 people. As a result at the weekend we stayed there was a large HEN Party taking place in the biggest and closest barn conversion that resulted in 3 days of non stop partying till 0230 in the morning. a live band starting up, with what can only be described as Karaoke with a guitar and only one volume setting all afternoon on the second day. Heated arguments late at night by members of the Hen Party.
That aside the site itself is still littered with remnants of campers that have abandoned camping gear in April that were still piled up on the site by the tent pitching area. Drains on hardstanding stuffed with surgical bed pads rendering the pitch drainage system for grey water unavailable. The Shower block didn't see a cleaner for the whole weekend rendering one of the showers inoperable due to lack of pressure to the shower. Whilst the toilet / Shower block looks clean on first glance, it quickly becomes apparent that it is far from this with the following issues being noted:
a) All the sealant in the shower / toilet block are covered in BLACK mould
b) The shower curtains probably haven't seen a washing machine in a very long time and are covered in either black mould or an orange tinge
c) The shower rails and shower curtain rings are thick with rust due to poor ventilation.
d) The LED lighting throughout is heavily marked with what is either rusty water in the lights or rust.
At no time of the course of this weekend was there a person of authority (Fire Warden) or face to face with someone in authority that these issues could be addressed.
On top of all this there is no segregation system for the waste generated - so no general waste no recycling etc its all just bagged up and placed in one big skip.
The site is also in some parts extremely dangerous to young children with regards to the scrap hot tubs, caravans and other scrap metal that is scattered around the site when walking from the Tenting area to the shower block.
With all that said the the guidance laid down by the owners with reference to quiet no loud music close car doors quietly etc etc, it is perfectly evident that the same rules DO NOT apply to the Barn residence.

Gostou I absolutely love this site, we have stayed here a lot of times, we got a bigger caravan so a bit of negotiation with the very large tree as you pull in, dead easy leaving so we will go in that way next time, bumped into the owner this time very friendly, we love how quiet it is, there was a few kids on the camping site behind us, they were well behaved, cant wait to come back again

Gostou Good sized pitch and plenty of space between. Each of the pitches has an undisturbed view. Very quiet, which was great. Will go again for another weekend trip. Toilets are unisex but very clean. Kitchen area looked really well equipped.

Não gostou Still needs tidying up around the facility area. It's a little difficult to find the first time, so look for the big white water tower and the entrance is alongside it. You'll find it a lot easier.
It would have been nice if the owner had introduced themselves but didn't see anyone.

Não gostou Owner never got back to me over the showers being locked, just opened them the next day without notice

When we got there on the Thursday there was rubbish dumped near the fence including dirty nappies, sleeping bags etc etc. still there when we left on Sunday.

Children running amok in the toilet/showers, playing with the microwave and washing machine in the kitchen area

Electric cut out on the camping side, rang owners to be told they were shopping on kingswood. So my husband went out and sorted it.

This could be a beautiful site, it just needs a little TLC.

Whilst there we never saw the owner once, not even to ensure the electric was back on

Would we go back …… NO

Gostou Nothing but the misleading photos that lured us in. The reality was a complete disappointment.

Não gostou The price is absolutely extortionate for what you get. The entrance looks like a set from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, littered with rubbish and car parts.
The facilities are a safety hazard: one shower floor is collapsing, doors don’t lock, and the lights didn't even work in the shower block. Pitching was nearly impossible due to the stony ground, and there is zero security on-site. To top it off, the owners are unreachable and never answer their phones. It is a complete rip-off—save your money and go elsewhere.

Gostou There was a kettle, microwave and toaster.

Não gostou Entrance to the site not appealing looks like a gypsy camp, no light in one shower, floor not level in the other, nothing to put your clothes on or sit on, no squidgy to clean shower after use, no hairdryer, not cleaned all weekend until everyone leaving site rather than wait till 10am when you need to be off. Everyone walking between mine and my sisters caravan to shower block. Dogs and kids screaming and barking at 7.30am. No cycle route nearby, no footpaths to walk into Hornsea, no shops or pubs, WiFi didn’t work either of them, overpriced for a developing site!

Não gostou Choice of 2 showers - one with a broken lock where people walked in on you while you were showering or one with a rotten floor and a big hole that was a health hazard (see photo). Dirty shower curtains and rusty curtain poles. In the disabled/baby changing room the light was rusty and didn’t work.

No hot water in kitchen/pot washing area

Overflowing refuse bin with bin bags on the ground that had been ransacked by local wildlife
