The Hollies

Gostou Camp had a nice holiday feel to it. Lots of amenities, chip shop most evenings, breakfast butty shack most mornings and an artisan coffee wagon. Excellent location backing onto an interesting beach. Pitch was flat and well drained. Electric worked without a hitch.

Não gostou Waterless urinals in the gents meadows toilet block weren’t being serviced properly so stank.
They had a boiler breakdown when we arrived so a hot shower could be taken in the Seaside fields block. However ,in the morning the water was freezing in that block too.
Get the urinal and boiler maintenance right and it’s a great stay.

Gostou Larger site in a great location a short walk and direct access to the beach. Pitch was designated before arrival. Staff very helpful. Facilities very good with lots of showers and WCs but showers were cold while we were there, probably a temporary issue. Three food and drink places on site too. Very enjoyable stay.

Não gostou The free for all tent pitches were cramped,
Music was very loud all night till 12/1am when it was supposed to be turnt off at 11! Toilets where do I begin, every time I kept going to the toilet it was Ethier blocked or closed for cleaning, when they were cleaned they were very clean but cleaning them first thing in the morning when people are likely to go is not on,
There was a big party sized group 5/6 family’s, I get your on holiday and you have a fun time, but everyone booked different sized pitches I booked 9m X 9m trying to find space when they set up a full sized tennis court for volley ball when there was fields designed for that was just selfish and the park should of told them about it! It was the same family who was playing music all day and night like a festival, barking of dogs all bloody day and night when they had to be kept quiet , I understand leaving your dogs at home is awful but if you decide to bring them, leave your rat at a kennels on the way to the site, thanks for reading, in all honesty it was a great place and a great weekend,

Não gostou Toilets were blocked often and not usable. Also, it felt too few were available for the amount of people (several hundreds) kn a busy bank holiday weekend

Gostou Friendly welcome with an escort to our pitch.
Pitch m44, level ground without the need for chocs. We was based opposite toilet block and playground. Toilets was cleaned at least 3 times daily, with plenty of space for placing clothes and lovely hot water with push system shower..large Area for moho with water tap available on pitch.
Very busy for the 2 nights we were there and to be fair there were good campers as noise was a minimum, and very quite after 10pm.
Very nice beach available via site..once you went down steps,,harder coming back up.
Lovely fish and chip van on site 4 -8.
Bus stop 3 minute walk to Heathlands campsite. Bus 99 into Lowestoft every 20 minutes, with a 20 minute journey to Lowestoft.

Gostou Absolutely awesome campsite. Think my other half was getting bored of me saying how clean toilet/shower block was. Close to the beach ( only 5 minute walk away) but be warned there are 90 steps down onto the beach. Cannot fault this campsite at all, and if you are looking for a break on the Suffolk coast then definitely give The Hollies a look. I only live an hour away but felt I could of been hundreds of miles away. Weather was gorgeous. We will DEFINITELY be back. We'll done all The Hollies team. Richard p.s didn't use WiFi so just put 1 star as I can't comment.

Gostou A reasonably good location for the area. Direct access to the beach. The facilities were decently clean throughout our stay despite the relatively large amount of people staying there. The electric hookup pitch was flat and well sheltered from the wind which was a bonus.

Não gostou Being a large site in prime season, there were quite a lot of dogs wandering about, some of which were not on leads.

Gostou Accessibility to public transport (there's a bus stop literally at the entrance)
The friendly staff at reception and the wardens and cleaning team
The lovely area at the top of the cliff where you can picnic or just watch the tide come and go
The price!
The availability of food/drinks on site

Não gostou The toilets smelled a little bit despite them been cleaned regularly, but not so much that you couldn't use them
The food available on site was expensive.
