Beautiful green campsite, facilities are just what you need. Clean with hot water for showers and washing. Drinking water from borehole which was lovely. Very dog friendly, Simon extremely helpful, a hidden gem.

We very much enjoyed this idyllic camp site. Even the grass we camped on was full of wildflowers if you looked for them. It must be well managed out of season - a beautiful meadow attracting bees and butterflies when it's allowed to grow tall.

When we arrived, Simon, the owner, showed us to the electric hook-up pitches and we were very pleased with our spot. The facilities are clean and in excellent condition. We were happy to join the Greener Camping Club and hope to find other sites that are also part of this organisation. We thought the nightly price was very reasonable.

A perfect get away in the Shropshire hills. The kids loved the space and freedom of this small site. The toilets and showers were kept really clean. The kids and dog played in the stream and we loved to go to sleep to the sound of foxes and owls and wake up to the cows and a cuckoo! The wood for the fire pit was reasonably priced at £5. No phone signal unless drove a few miles out, not an issue for us but might be for some.

When we are looking for a new camping site to go, there are few very important things the campsite must have- great reviews, good pictures, good location, barbecues allowed and good clean facilities! Now this campsite is a gem between the campsites! It is the best campsite we have been so far. First of all, the owners are absolutely amazing, extremely friendly, nothing was too much of an issue, made us feel very welcome. Second of all you have no time limit when you have to leave- no pressure of packing your things first thing in the morning and that was great for us! Third of all the campsite/ facilities were extremely clean, very well looked after, pitches more than spacious and the campsite was just big enough for us- not too big or small. Fourth of all the location is absolute must for those who want to do a lot of walking/ hiking and have plenty of opportunities where to go. We have spent only 7 days there and said we will definitely be back as there is SO MUCH MORE to explore. Overall we had the best holidays so far and we can not wait to go back to the Runnis Campsite again and again!

We had a fabulous time here. A lovely small site, very friendly welcome. Owners very approachable and helpful, even taking the time to show the kids some nesting birds. Facilities were two showers (lovely hot water everytime we used them) and four toilets. Washing up area with lots of hot water at one end. Fresh eggs available to buy with an honesty box. Small fridge with a freezer box around the back for ice packs etc. Fire pits and logs were available to hire/buy. Fabulous location; lots of opportunities for walks and exploring nearby. Field behind the campsite beyond the stream is in Wales, which my kids loved. Lovely little stream running alongside the campsite which the kids loved too. Owners had provided some goal posts and a swingball and kids were quite happy to make their own entertainment. Also noted electric hookups and chemical waste disposal but didn't use so can't comment.

Simon and his family made us very welcome at Runnis Meadow on arrival. This is a lovely quiet campsite with spectacular views. We were able to hire a fire pit from him and bought some logs too. The shower and toilet block is very modern and clean as are the washing up facilities. There is also a communal fridge round the back of the shower block. We would most definitely go back there again. We had no signal/wifi but this was a bonus (a real 'escape') Thank you

Very scenic quiet site ringed by trees and a stream. Immaculately clean, ample facilities and excellent hot showers. surrounded by beautiful countryside. Couldn't be better, would definitely return.
