This was our second visit and it won't be our last! We were greeted by a friendly young man. The pitch was easy to find and fairly level. We didn't use the onsight facilities as we had our own. The location was great for exploring the local village and the pubs were in walking distance.

Liked everything about this site but were new to all this.
Got a new to us camper & living without a driveway I wanted a fully serviced pitch to test everything.
The motorhome waterpump didn't work so I had to use the onsite facilities & the toilet/shower block was lovely & warm & clean.
The outdoor pot washing areas also were well kept & had running hot water.
Nice chilled quiet little site in a woodland setting close to many amenities not far from the M1/A42.
Really enjoyed it & we will return.
Reasonable rates.

Toilet empty point could do with a hose for rinsing cassette etc.
Site would also benefit from a pay per use laundry facility.

The location was good and the toilets and showers were new and clean.

We arrived at 18:30 and this was classed as a late arrival, this meant locating our pitch as the reception is not manned after 17:00.

The weather has been below zero which has meant the recent snow has turned to ice, half the site pitches were thawed and half were covered in snow and ice.

Our allocated pitch was 22, we followed the signs to locate the pitch which followed a one way system around the site. The road to the pitches is more like a track for a tractor or a 4x4, we were ok on the part that had little to no ice or snow but our pitch was on the side thick with both and we had a hill to go up to get to said pitch. Our vehicle started to wheel spin on the ice just before pitch 21 and we had to abandon our attempt, this meant reversing back and finding an alternative pitch. The way the site is we could not have known what we were driving into, we were able to pitch up on a spare pitch on the side that had little to no ice.

Unfortunately, the issues didn't end there. My husband walked back to reception to ensure we were not parked in the other late arrivals pitch and on his way back he slipped and fell on the ice, this resulted in a bruised and bloody knee!

It is clear that there was zero effort to grit any of the site, the entrance was slick under foot. The reception and toilets also.

I went to reception the next morning to report it and they did not see the issue, that might be down to the fact that the reception smelled of wacky baccy! If the slip/fall side of things have been an older person or a child it could have been a much worse situation.

We expected something to be wrong with this site based on the price but more along the lines of a shabby site or facilities not something that puts health and safety at risk!

The site should have closed the side that was heavily affected by the snow and ice and if they absolutely had to use it then they should have contacted people to issue instructions and warnings about the conditions, the site was quiet.

This is not a witch hunt just an honest review of our experience, we are thankful to come away with our vehicle and selves in one piece!

Showers and toilets clean and warm , they did need a seat or bench for clothes etc. Site was clean except for the four dirty moldy caravans/awning near the entrance and toilets, they spoilt the site.

All of it, it was a beautiful quiet little place. Very clean lovely lady on reception that checked us in. Hot tub was lovely and private.

Staff was very friendly and explained the site upon check in.

Toilets in the middle of the site were closed, there were other toilets available at the top of the site that were open. Its a sloping site, but my pitch was mainly level. The hardstanding was muddy and covered in moss. I expect the grass to be muddy, not the hardstanding. The road around the site has huge pot holes. Dog poo on my pitch (I didn't have a dog). Not worth the £64 I paid for 2 nights. I only stayed one. The site maybe better in the summer.

There as nothing to like upon arrival I was arond 25 mins early was told no problem and given pitch number

Has I drove to pitch I was greeted by a couple who had been there 4 days and advised to check the toilet and shower block has they were now leaving had hadnt used them because of the smell and lack of cleanliness to them I then inspected and they were discussing resulting in us leaving on contacting site pitch up about this was told basicky to sort with camp site after phone calls and emails there excuse was basically were were 25 minutes early and was going to clean before we arrived which I replied u didn't accept there story due to the people on arrival resulting in refusal of a refund

Nice welcome from on site Warden. Easy setup. Pleasant rural location just outside Riddings.

Pitches not level and even with ramps used, could not level MH. Showers, whilst clean, had nowhere to sit and dress.

Shower block was nice and warm in winter!

Pitches were slightly tight for our caravan and car to fit end to end. Some slightly narrow roads to approach the site.
