Camping Playa Costa de Levante is on the Costa de Azahar, in handy locale for getting to the main tourist parts of Castellón province or for just having days basking on the beach. Province capital Castellón or Castellón de la Plana is 15 minutes away for urban days out among its thirteenth century cathedral, 'single man' bell tower, orange-tree lined streets and many festivals including La Magdalena, the week long celebrations held every year halfway through Lent. Plan at least a couple of days for fab Valencia to properly see its City of Arts and Sciences, medieval churches, Valencia Cathedral and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Llotja de la Seda – or just to wander its ancient winding streets among the Roman and Moorish buildings. Other tourist hotspots well worth a look are the towns of Benicàssim, Oropesa del Mar and Peñíscola, and nature sites like the Desert de las Palmes mountain range, the Columbretes Islands and the Hoces del Cabriel Natural Park.
