Set among the heights of the historic and handsome settlement of Renty, Camping La Tentation has a cracking view across the valley and is well placed for angling in nearby rivers and lakes, as well as hiking, mountain biking and quad bike tours of the surrounding countryscape. Also nearby are the family amusements of Dennlys Parc (10 kilometres), the Caps et Marais d'Opale Natural Regional Park and beaches within an hour’s drive.
Two heated indoor pools will keep all ages amused on site, and the wellness area with sauna and Jacuzzi will take care of your pampering requirements. Out of the water is a fitness room for dutiful exercising, as well as tennis courts, a pétanque pitch, a football field and a multisports court.
Kids' activities are arranged by the entertainment team, or they can test their putting skills at the miniature golf course, bounce a ball back and forth on the ping pong tables, attempt to reach skywards on the outdoor trampoline, or sit atop a pony for a ride around the park. For a spell of peaceful play or literary time instead, borrow board games and books from the on-site library.
Eats and drinks can be procured at the restaurant with takeaway service. Barbecues are allowed too, so light up the coals and get the sausages sizzling, after which you can head towards the entertainment for dances, karaoke and lotto nights.

You might then want to head sand and seaward, so pack up the car and pile the kids in for a scenic 45-minute drive through the Caps et Marais d'Opale Natural Regional Park and Desvres forest to the seaside town of Boulogne-sur-Mer for its beach, port and fish market, aquarium and 19th-century castle and museum.
Elsewhere around the region for tiddlers, take the kids to Dennlys Parc for fun on more than 30 attractions, including water-based bumper cars, carousels, big and small rollercoasters and funfair museum. Also within easy reach – around 45 minutes’ drive away toward the coast – is the excellent Laby Parc, for pedal karting, water zorbing, trampolining, ziplining and adventure playgrounds.
