Ik was blij met Lovely location

Ik was niet blij met Timings to get off the site is a bit early, the toilets are a bit grim and outdated, and asking for a honesty box donation for the toilets seems a bit much seeing as we’ve paid to be there like every other site. It is basically someone’s back garden, no real reception. There was a large mound of dog poo in the field near us, which remained there the entire time of our stay.

Van de manager: Thanks for your review. We're just a little confused about one thing... if there really was a "large mound of dog poo" next to your pitch for your entire stay, why not mention it? We'd have been happy to remove it in under a minute. Instead, it seems it was quietly monitored for the duration before making its grand debut in the review. As for our 10:30am checkout, we didn't realise that counted as an early start. Most of our guests seem to manage it without needing a lie-in until lunchtime. The toilets are admittedly toilets. They haven't evolved much over the years, but they flush, they're cleaned regularly, and they seem to achieve their primary purpose remarkably well. Regarding the shower honesty box, unlike many campsites that provide a gentle drizzle, we provide proper hot, high-pressure showers. They use a lot of gas and water, so we ask for a small contribution to help keep them that way. We'd rather do that than increase everyone's pitch fees. And yes, it is our back garden... that's rather the point. It's a small family-run campsite, not a 500-pitch holiday park. Thankfully, most of our guests come because of that.

Ik was blij met Lovely clean facilities, never an issue with the toilets or showers. Beautiful site, that is clearly well looked after. The park and its facilities are fantastic. Would definitely return and recommend.

Ik was niet blij met The shop could be done with staying open a little longer. We didn’t bring the correct pegs a not getting the awning up would have been disastrous as our van was full. We called the warden, who was as helpful as he could be and said we needed different pegs but we couldn’t get any them as the shop was shut. Over the stay there was a few times we could have used the shop but as it shut at 17:30 we always missed out.
