Ik was blij met August 2026 We were walking a section of the English Coast Path, and having wild camped for a few nights it was good to find a legitimate campsite so close to the Coast Path. The owner was very friendly and welcoming, and we enjoyed a good chat with her. There weren’t many in when we arrived and so we were able to choose a good, level pitch for our tent, to suit us. The pitch sizes are generous and the grass is level and well maintained - no thistles, or lumps which we have become used to on our wild camping adventures. The views across the estuary to Holy Island were spectacular and framed the destination of the next day’s walk. The campsite was peaceful, with no large groups when we stayed. The campsite amenities are basic - drinking water and portaloo WCs. No WiFi, no hot showers, no dishwashing sinks, etc. This may not suit everyone but it was perfect for our basic camping needs. The portaloos were clean and well supplied with toilet paper, soap and hand sanitiser.
