Ik was blij met Walking along the river on an evening was very peaceful. There’s also a walk out of the top of the site which goes up to Lowther castle which I’d recommend. Lots of statics on the site, everyone seemed very friendly. Despite it being busy it was fairly quiet by 10.00 / 10.30pm. The shop was excellent and all of the staff we met were friendly and helpful. Even though the shower blocks are a bit dated they were usually very clean. There was plenty of hot water.

Ik was niet blij met The touring pitches felt cramped, gaps between units weren’t well enforced. To be fair it was high season and the park was very busy. One neighbour with a camper pitched a pup tent (which to be fair the site doesn’t actually allow) so close we felt like they were in our van. The warden did try to catch them to ask them to take it down but then didn’t come back. One of the shower blocks looks to have been recently updated, the other is in need of it. There were no mops in the block to clean up before or after a shower.
