Ik was blij met Love this camp site,my go to on visits to lakes and Carlisle Lovely scenery, great open space with cows and horses It’s a working farm and also has pods Toilets always clean with plenty paper if you forget to take,washing facilities and very nice owners Fire pits and wood available and can be prebooked for I think only 4 quid for pit They are very liberal with when you arrive and not usually in a hurry to get you off I sent a request for early book in at last minute and this was no problem ,you can book this on website though I spend a lot of time in the lakes and Carlisle where I grew up and have used many sites but always go back to Cardewlees ,just brilliantly positioned for anywhere in the north lakes and not far to Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 about 10/12 miles I’d say Breath of fresh air literally

Ik was blij met Great pitches,only 2 pound for a fire out,benches in camping area for use Clean toilets Brilliant location for north lakes and Carlisle Only 12 miles from Scotland and early check in and out only 5 pounds Beautiful campsite with horses sheep cows surrounding camp This is a working farm and owner very helpful

Ik was blij met Waking up to horses and cows, very peaceful In the countryside Very close to Carlisle and the beautiful lakes

Ik was niet blij met Toilet was very busy and had to wait quite a lot as few tents on site with a lot of students

Ik was blij met The shepherds hut was lovely ,we had a log burner blazing away so lovely for a cold night,we had a barbecue on outside fire pit which was large and very easy, right outside hut with bench and chairs There were emus ,shetlands and many other animals around site, we saw young deer dashing across the fields Peacock came to investigate out hut in the morning I loved this site and will be returning soon

Ik was blij met Janet could not be more helpful,anything you need at the press of a bell,local knowledge and bus timetables readily available,chickens were fab but watch your pucnic
