Ik was blij met Idyllic campsite in what feels like the middle of nowhere. A very quiet site where you can pitch up wherever you like which means you aren’t on top of each other. Gemma is super friendly and we could buy fresh eggs and logs using a link/QR code which means you don’t need to carry cash. It was also nice to see the sheep and goats and the nearby cows.

Ik was niet blij met This is linked more to guest use but toilets didn’t flush too well and guests left the shower in a bit of a mess. That said, the small toilet/shower block is cute and well maintained in general. As mentioned in other reviews the field is on a slope but lots of space so you can pitch your tent wherever and however you like to help mitigate.

I’m really sorry the toilets weren’t flushing properly during your visit. We had a plumbing issue caused by sanitary products being flushed, but it’s now sorted. And thank you for your understanding about the shower block we do try to keep it as tidy as possible, though occasionally guests leave it less than ideal. Your feedback is genuinely appreciated. Ik was blij met Good location to travel to multiple places in Devon, nice facilities and a great on site honesty shop. The owner Rocky is very friendly and took us all on a sunset walk which was a nice touch.

Ik was niet blij met This site allows group bookings which meant that a group with 6 tents turned up quite late in the evening and made noise until gone 2am. Whilst they were spoken to and adhered to the 11pm cut off the next night, they made excessive noise up until that point, singing, playing drums and loudly and sarcastically mentioning how long it was until curfew. This led to us and 2 other bookings leaving a day early as it was not the ‘peaceful’ environment as described. A real shame because if large group bookings weren’t allowed, it would be a really nice site.

Ik was blij met Beautifully kept field, toilets and showers very clean, washing up facilities and fridge available. Owners really friendly and gave us lots of information about things to do. Logs available to buy for campfire. Was very quiet too as early in the season so had loads of space to ourselves.
