Staanplaats op gras zonder elektriciteit
Ik was blij met Loads of space for pitching - no fuss, the owner doesn't interfere or micro-manage. Location is a great base for exploring Settle and surrounds - Settle/train is in walking distance for example. Big open fields, choose a spot, spread out, great. Cheap. Really quiet mid-week.
Showers are okay and I guess it's pretty good value so I would stay again - but probably would avoid weekends. There's additional porter loos so you don't need to walk far to main toilet block for a wee.
Ik was niet blij met On Friday and Saturday it was really noisy and quite busy.
Q) What's more annoying than a loud scouser in the tent next to you who's drunk and won't shut-up?
A) A scouser and his geordie mates who won't shut up, singing, shouting etc.
Sign said no music after 10, but not policed.
A chavalanche on the far end of the field occurred as well - about a dozen vans with kids riding electric motorbikes all over - owner asked them to stop though which they kind of did.
I shouldn't complain too much because it was all friendly really/bit festival like/no genuine agro but not great if you're trying to sleep with kids which we were. Kids got quite upset etc.
Also the bins were completely overflowing and the water wasn't topped up in the porter loos. It'd be nice if you could recycle (there was a skip saying recycling but it was full of landfill anway.
Some noise from a nearby paper-mill and quite a lot of trucks to-ing and fro-ing nearby so not really that peaceful at times.

Staanplaats voor een tent op gras zonder elektriciteit
Ik was blij met The grounds were well kept and clean with some nice nature areas.
The large duck-pond and play area is good for kids and the location near to Grassington.
Also enjoyed using the pool, but it's not included in the price.
Camping field was quiet and there was lots of space.
Ik was niet blij met It does seem to be more geared up for the caravans with tents left to own devices. This would be fine but the prices don't reflect that. It's expensive for what you get.
Because we had 4 kids and 2 adults we took two cars and two tents. This meant because of the pay Pitchup works, it basically cost us double to have 1 more kid (than if we'd brought 3). I blame Pitch-up for that mainly because of lack of flexibility and inability to query the type of booking - (a pitch includes 2 adults and 2 kids regardless). I did ring the campsite about this but the staff member was unable to answer at the time and then never rang back as promised, so we went ahead and booked online because we wanted it sorted.
I bet if we'd just booked one pitch we would have in practice been fine with two tents on it - but it left us feeling like we'd been a bit fleeced. In actual fact the campsite staff were easy-going and it would have been fine. I reckon we could have paid half.
This was exacerbated by the fact that it was only discovered AFTER we arrived that you don't get to use the pool as part of the booking. I didn't think that was clear from the website. My partner made her feelings known to management and they were actually pretty accommodating and gave us a free swim.
There is a kids play area but it's a long way from the tent area.
The toilets have no plugs for hairdryer, only for a toothbrush/shaver, nowhere to charge phones and nowhere to freeze freezer blocks. No plug in the washing up sink so I borrowed one from the caravans washing up area. These are little details which could improve the camping experience without much expense to the campsite - but it did feel like tents were basically on their own. Not much of a problem but if that's the case make it cheap!
