I am going to be totally honest I drove in and thought OH MY GOD what have I booked! we have a tent pitch and we booked for Thursday-Sunday and we have really enjoyed that much we stayed an extra night and leave on Monday instead. Weather was miserable on Thursday when we arrived and its been really nice since, lovely bar lovely size pool nice little shop with basic stuff went for a lovely walk all around the whole park love pond with ducks and swans lovely caravans up there to show the kids around, I admit I read all the reviews and I was really nervous and scared but I have had the best family weekend ever met lovely people across from us which invited us over to make smores which was sooooo nice. Little park up by the entrance which is ideal for the children. Don’t read the reviews try it for yourself :)

Only thing I didn’t like was the fact I had to keep pressing the button on the wall to keep the shower running but it was boiling hot which was a plus! Also the swimming pool didn’t have a life guard or anyone manning the place and it was wild with most kids jumping in as and when they want infront of anyone and coming down the slide without looking if anyone was near the bottom. Oh one more thing… I booked for a electric hook up tent pitch when I arrived I had to pay a further £18 because they said I hadn’t chose electric but my email said I had but I paid and just left it.

Large pitches close to the shower blocks, pool was very nice and the main social areas was kept very clean.

People in private pitches played very loud music all day.

The attitude on the receptionist who helped me know where to go, nothing was too much trouble she was kind and patient with me

Near the end of the week, there were more entertainment and we had a great time in the club, they did Bingo and Karaoke but it was Adam (Staff) they made it worth while. No concerns with the pitch all great.

The only thing that is evident is that there are regular people who go and it is noticeable they get treated better at the beginning of the week some staff did not want to do Bingo but did when the regular begged. But ut was nothing major. Maybe more entertainment in the beginning of the week would be better.

My boy and his friends always have the best time when camping. They ask to return every year

Good location, staff were really nice

Site is a bit tired. Not very clean. First two showers I tried didn’t work. Toilets can do with an upgrade. Bin area was very clean or tidy.

Other people staying at the site were nice.

Not sure where to start. The site looked like the majority of caravans were lived in. The local/frequently visiting children were hanging about in a group of about 20 as late as 11pm, the shop was poorly stocked, the pitches were really close together.

We booked for 2 nights and when we showed up we debated just leaving, but the kids looked disappointed so we decided to give it a go.

The guy is reception was lovely and gave us directions where to go and took payment. He also told me where everything is.

Pitched tent in our small allotted space, again, not a problem but we had to be very careful to not catch caravan one side and car other with our tent poles!

We went for a walk around the site, it was pretty bad! A lot of the sited caravans weren’t cared for at all. The kids wanted to go in the park. There were piles of kids and not an adult in site. They were ranging from about 4. Stayed about 15 minutes.

On the walk back a child rode is bike at us purposely - turning at the last minute. He was younger that my 6 year old, out on this own.

We went to the chip shop for tea, chips were ok.

There was a caravan opposite blasting out music (and I mean blasting!!) This wasn’t close to our tent so didn’t necessarily affect us.

The site was very loud until the early hours which is fine for people with no kids but not really family friendly.

In the morning I went to the cafe to get some takeaway tea (mainly because we had already decided that we weren’t staying and so didn’t want to set up cooker). They were £2 each and made for me. Got back to the tent to find that it was hot water and milk - no tea bag had seen this cup!

Packed up and left!

The fact that you don't pay extra for the pool, although it was freezing cold.
The ladies in the office were friendly enough.

Loads!! On entering from road it looks nice, until you go round the bend. Caravans with rotting awnings all crammed together and along the entrance. This is not suitable for families with young children, infact it's not suitable at all. The quiet times were supposed to be after 1 am, but there were noisy people and music up until 3 am. We had difficulty sleeping. Children who lived on the site permanently ran riots, banging footballs against tin sheds until the early hours. It was awful. We went Sunday til Sunday, but we left on Wednesday, we couldn't stand it any longer.
Please do not listen to any good reviews, we are sure they would have been done from the residents.
BEWARE!

Staff was nice and was nice to walk around the pond where there was actually peace!!

It would of been a nice stay if it wasn't for the people staying up until 2am every night blasting music don't expect the wardens to do alot they tell people to turn it down but soon as he goes they blast it again. Adults stay up screaming weeing outside tents every time we came out there was someone weeing outside there tent, kids swearing and parents have no control! Woken up most morning after a couple of hours sleep to listening to adults then being sick outside tents while kids stand on and watch!! Worst campsite we have been on completely ruined our family stay!!

Shower & toilet blocks were spotless. Pitch size was good

Only 0% cider at the bar. No choice.
Private caravans & awnings need a good clean and tidy up.
