If that’s what you’re after, you’ll get the lot – and plenty more besides – at El Glamp Internacional de Palamós on the Catalonia coastline. Tucked under a rustling canopy of pine trees, this family-friendly site has furnished units ready and waiting for you, and is only five minutes’ walk from Platja de La Fosca – often said to be one of the best beaches on the Costa Brava.
And the bonuses just keep on coming: as well as the sea close by, there's an outdoor swimming pool on site, with lots of lawns and shade around it for snoozing in the sun, plus ping-pong tables to keep teens busy, a playground and a kids’ club in high season.
Overlooking the pool, the terrace restaurant serves dishes from the local Empordà region, and all your self-catering essentials can be bought in the well-stocked mini-market. Anything else you need, you’ll likely find in the shops and restaurants of seafront Platja d’Aro (10 minutes’ walk), which is also home to a lively marina and leisure centre.
Practical facilities include well-maintained and modern shower blocks, washing-up sinks and a launderette so you can keep everyone and everything clean and fresh.

- Honden moeten getatoeëerd of gechipt zijn.
- Op deze camping zijn hondenrassen/kruisingen die in de 'lijst met hoog-risico honden op agressief gedrag' zijn opgenomen, niet toegestaan (zoals de pitbullterriër, tosa, Argentijnse dog en fila brasileiro). Ook de volgende rassen zijn niet welkom: de staffordshire-bulterriër, Amerikaanse staffordshireterriër, rottweiler en mastiff.
- Minderjarigen (18-) dienen te worden vergezeld door een ouder en/of officiële voogd.
- Als je vuur wilt maken, dien je de brandstof, houtblokken en kolen daarvoor ter plaatse te kopen.
- Geen gasbarbecues toegestaan.
- Geen elektrische barbecues toegestaan.
- Het buitenzwembad is geopend tussen 01/06 en 30/09 (afhankelijk van de weersomstandigheden).

Lokale bezienswaardigheden
Platja de La Fosca (five minutes’ stroll) will likely be your first stop for chilling on its golden sand, swimming in clear seas and admiring its backdrop of rust-coloured rocks. From there, you can join the coastal path and walk to the centre of pretty-as-a-picture Palamós (15 minutes), with its fishing port, seafood restaurants and cute little beach of Cala S’Alguer (25 minutes) surrounded by whitewashed cottages.
The coastline is also known for its tiny coves. Platja de Castell (half an hour) is a splendid spot for snorkelling followed by a cool beer in the seafront chiringuito, while quiet, rocky Cala Sa Tamardia (15 minutes) is reached down steep steps; you’ll probably have the place to yourselves.
Cyclists have direct access to the Vía Verde bike path between Palamós and Palafrugell (15 minutes by bike), where you can wander manicured botanic gardens and visit the cork museum. Other cultural days out could include the ancient Roman remains and Banys Àrabs bathing complex in Girona (50 minutes’ drive), the Dalí Theatre-Museum in the surrealist artist’s home town of Figueres (an hour) or the specialist pottery shops at La Bisbal d’Empordà (25 minutes).
