Ik was blij met Turned a day early, they still managed to fit me in, very warm welcome everything explained , lovely quite site , great walks for the dogs, Top selections of beer on tap . had the amazing Sunday lunch. basic showers and toilets but very clean . hosts amazing and cheerful , another country pub surviving on food sales to keep going, and providing employment for young folk in the village.

Ik was blij met The very friendly welcome when we arrived. Everything you need for a couple of nights away. Shower/toilet + toilet. Washing up station, well equipped.
The restaurant was extremely busy but the owner still walked us in to show us our pitch.

The food in the pub was amazing. We were hoping to visit twice, but our plans didn’t allow us to. Next time maybe.

Ik was blij met Nice quiet site with friendly staff attached to a nice pub.
We found all staff friendly and helpful. The pub is very popular at lunch times with locals coming for meals - always a good sign. When we stayed Wednesday night was steak night so we had a lovely steak supper.
There is a toilet and s shower on site which looked clean and tidy but we didn't use because we were only there 2 nights.
Also a bus passes the site which will take you further afield. Harleston a lovely market town is 2 miles away and Diss with a mainline train station to Norwich and further afield is about 13 miles away in the other direction

Ik was blij met Lovely small park at the pub, we didn't go in the pub, quiet and a mile walk to harleston, toilets, showers clean although looking tired

Ik was blij met Quick and easy, gent showed us the facilities and the site was very today. New gates etc

Ik was niet blij met The toilets very extremely mouldy (walls and ceiling) and guests had clearly been smoking in them.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention!!.. indeed there was mould on some areas of the shower room!!! We can only apologise and this has now be resolved. On closer inspection we also found that the extractor fan to be at fault and hope that fixing this should stop further mould in the future… As for people smoking in the shower?!?!…. Not sure how that’s possible!!! I thought that it would be obvious that people shouldn’t smoke in the shower and toliet areas but will now put a no smoking sign

Ik was blij met It was peaceful, level and probably much nicer in the Summer

Ik was niet blij met The chap that showed us to our spot was very grumpy and unfriendly.
We couldn’t work out if he was a little deaf or was just plan rude?
He made no polite chit chat.
We stayed only one very cold wet night, luckily we had our own shower and toilet as the Shed was cold and dirty and the washing up unit was outside dirty and got extremely wet!
The site was quiet.
The Pub was closed so no nice hot meal beside an open fire.

Van de manager: The booking was made on Tuesday morning 10am while it was snowing!!!!…. So to be honest I’m not really understanding what you were expecting???… the gentleman the showed you to your spot was my father who’s as you correctly spotted is deaf.. again no polite chit chat??? You arrived and he showed you to your space explained the Pub was closed as it states on pitch up and then wanted to get back in the warm!!! As when you arrived in the dark it was -5!!!… the night of you stay the local weather station at tibenham record -9 over night!!! With temperatures like that the shower block is very difficult to keep as clean as we would like as you can’t dry out the floor and people walking in and out have a tendency to drag in mud on their shoes!! The outside wash up area was switched off as it had been minus temperatures over night for about a month and it will freeze so we make sure it’s switched off…. As stated you booked for one night when it was snowing and minus 9 over night… so really at a loss as to what you thought you were going to get!!!! I mean you could’ve tried the heater on the wall!!!! Maybe camping in the snow at minus -9…. Is not for you

Ik was blij met Nice location, friendly welcome in the pub from Sue and Joe, lots to explore in the local area , Micheal was very friendly and said you are very welcome to stay here anytime! facilities looked good but didn’t use any as we use Motorhome shower etc
