Looking for a peaceful base for Lincolnshire larks? Homestead Fields Caravan and Camping, in the village of Benniworth, is a quiet smallholding site that should fit the bill. Country, coast and town trips are all easily sorted here – this two-acre park is on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with some top walks and bike rides to be had pretty much as soon as you set foot outside the park. The east coast seaside resorts of Skegness, Ingoldmells and Mablethorpe, meanwhile, are all around 40 minutes' drive away. The genteel Georgian market town of Louth is also close by (15 minutes), while the grand old city of Lincoln is about half an hour away.  If you’ve still got energy left after that little lot, stroll along to the local pub in 40 minutes or so for dinner (if you're hungry, drive it in five instead). Rather spend some time on site? Stick around to light up a barbecue and make pals with some of the site's resident alpacas, chickens and pigs.  Dogs are welcome to join you on your jaunt here – there’s a dog walking area where they can stretch their paws, as well as a free wifi connection for folk who’d like to catch up with the outside world while their pup investigates the sights and smells of their new surrounds.

Een goed onderhouden, schone en rustige camping met ruime plaatsen, ideaal voor gezinnen en hondenbezitters. Ik was blij met We stayed here for our yearly family get-together, we had a motorhome pitch, my daughter stayed in the large bell tent, which was absolutely beautiful and many other family members had tents or campervans. The couple that run the site were fantastic and couldn't do enough to help. They let us all stay around the bell tent area so that we were together. The site was clean and very well looked after. The kids loved the park and all the space to play in. The dog walk area was really nice, the alpacas were very entertaining and really interested in our dogs 🤣 The showers and toilets were lovely, really clean and fresh. There was even a little shop where the kids could buy ice lollies. We honestly couldn't of picked a better site.

Ik was blij met Lovely site, owners Dean and Ali welcoming and friendly. Lent us an extension lead with no problem.
Travelled with grandchildren aged 8 & 5, who loved the play area and 'badger walk' (actually dog walking path around the site, via the alpaca field)
Quiet, large pitches.
Shower shacks quirky, but plenty of hot water

Ik was niet blij met Water for dishwashing not very hot

Ik was blij met Lovely site it was quiet and the pitch size was good wasnt many there but didnt feel cramped in. will definatly be coming back next summer for longer. The site is well looked after and cared for. Our girls are 3 and 6 and they loved the park and alpacas.

Ik was niet blij met The showers were tricky to use with young children nothing major as there a shower cubicle outside. Lovely feeling like you're showering outside but tricky with the kids.

Ik was blij met Love how peaceful the sight was and seeing alpacas was great. Site is lovely and clean. The staff was lovely and friendly as and fulfilled our requests too.
Plus kids loved the play park. And the little paths to walk around, kids loved exploring. Shower was hot love how it's set out. Love the washing facilities too.

Ik was blij met Site was really clean, well laid out spacious pitches. Toilets and showers both really clean.
Our 2 year old loved the park and the alpacas.

Ik was niet blij met Arrival was a little confusing, there was no reception and no signs telling us what to do. Asked another camper who told me to ring a number where a man answered and told me to park where I wanted.
Only paid a deposit in advance. The day we left I received a text message from the same number with account details requesting payment. The message appeared to have been forwarded from another conversation as it seemed to make little sense in isolation.

Alpaca fields staanplaats voor een tent op gras zonder elektriciteit

Ik was blij met We loved staying here! We just loved everything about it the animals and facilities such as toilets, showers, communal fridge freezer, washing up station and the little shop. They had WiFi to offer which is great. It was well lit up at night. There was a great little track for dog walking and plenty of bins for dog waste.

Ik was blij met This is our 4th year visiting and really enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and space for kids to play. It is a well laid out camp site and very well kept and clean with flat pitches :)
Stayed in a bell tent this year and it was great!
Friendly owners and loads of options for things to do in the surrounding area.

Lokale bezienswaardigheden

Wanders around the Wolds start at the site gate. Hiking across the flat landscape should be pretty easy for most walkers: strolls up from Benniworth to Donington or Bain along the old railway line are highly recommended. For walks around a man-made landscape instead, head down to Walled Garden Baumber (10 minutes' drive), a kooky plant haven where green-fingered guests can also treat themselves to a cream tea.  Top towns in the local area include Louth (15 minutes) with its Georgian architecture and Spout Yard park, and Horncastle (15 minutes) for bargain-hunting on the high street's many antique shops. Lincoln (30 minutes) is another must-see stop on any trip here: head to the castle for medieval history or climb up to the cathedral's viewing gallery and admire the cityscape below.  For kid-pleasing days, try the cute animals at Rand Farm Park (15 minutes) or the bigger beasts on display at Woodside Wildlife Park (20 minutes). Family-friendly beach time can also be arranged – head to Mablethorpe or Skegness (both 40 minutes) if you want to feel the sand between your toes.
