Ik was blij met Very warm welcome on arrival, text received the day before with lots of useful info. Site is listed on Pitch Up as having no showers - this is incorrect, there ARE showers. One shower and 2 x toilets in the static behind the pub, lots of toiletries too! Also a little kitchen area and tea/coffee facilities for a small fee. Pub was lovely, dog friendly & we enjoyed a delicious roast dinner & puds, yummy homemade cakes too. Only open Thurs-Sun. Useful little shop. Area is very picturesque, nice big playground across the road. Field was a little wet so we parked in the car park. Road is quite busy. A perfect stopover on our way to Wales!

Ik was niet blij met No handsoap in toilets but pub was shut by the time we noticed so we couldn't tell them, I am sure they would have sorted it out asap!

Ik was blij met Reasonable sized area for 4 pitches, easy access from the road and close to the pub. I didnt go in the pub but looked ok and it has good food reviews.

Ik was niet blij met Road noise was heavy at times but not enough to deter a stay. Toilet and shower on site in a caravan with hot water could do with updating but ok to use if required.

Ik was blij met Access to toilets and the shower 24hrs. Easy access from road. Very warm welcome in the pub and great food.

Ik was blij met Pitch was fine, tidy and showers clean.

Ik was niet blij met We accidentally booked for the following week and tried to cancel (we were within the time frame to cancel) but we given the runaround. The pitch up site went to error 500, so I phoned and emailed the Devonshire to ask to cancel. We got nowhere. We had rebooked and turned up the next day. Staff were pleasant and I explained again the situation. I was told not to worry and that is would be sorted and I’d get my money back, but this never happened. We also ordered a Sunday lunch, of which the meats were microwaved and as such were very tough. We explained this when asked if the meal was ok, they said nothing. I still haven’t received a refund for the mistake booking, even though I have the email from Fiona saying she would sort it.

Ik was blij met The camp site lovely small and 5 mile walk each way to castleton and the little shop on site is great too

Ik was blij met Spacious pitch , toilet and shower available, honesty shop also there , great food in pub on site friendly staff , great walks 10 min drive away , also local walks

Ik was blij met It wasn’t a huge area to stay because it has been so wet but we stayed in the pub car park and it was fine. Staff were very nice and the food good in the pub. Generally a pleasant stay.

Ik was blij met Turned up, got set up, had a few beers got cozy in the vans then went for dinner.
Food was freshly done and very good. Great selection and great service.

Ik was blij met Location at the back of the pub car park makes for a quiet spot. Access to pub and facilities makes for great food and drink.
