Mi è piaciuto Really laid back site. Great shower block & toilets & cleaned regularly! Thankfully we were very close to it but they only have 1 l think so it could be an issue if you’re camping further away . No onsite amenities but that wasn’t an issue for us. Our pitch was flat which was a godsend but looking around the site it all looks fairly even & flat which is so unusual for Cornwall! It was a lovely place to stay & we would return.

Non mi è piaciuto A few more bins in the ladies shower block ( under the sink area) would be helpful because facial wipes & cotton pads were left on the sinks due to lack of bins. Otherwise no complaints at all .

Mi è piaciuto Beautiful site , flat & well maintained pitches . Andy was very informative & kept in touch , prior to our stay & greeted us on arrival .The shower block is by far the cleanest that we’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing in over 30 years of camping. Definitely a massive plus during the current situation. Deep cleaned on a daily basis but also cleaned throughout the day & also wipes, sprays provided in the block for your own peace of mind to use at any time. Hand sanitiser outside the toilet / shower block too . We were very happy to stay . The location is great , the lakes are beautiful & a good base to explore the North & South Coast of Cornwall. I have already recommended this campsite to both friends & family & we will definitely return!

Non mi è piaciuto 10pm no noise is a little too early curfew when you’re on your holidays ! We are a mature couple, so no raves , no loud music . One of the reasons we chose Gwinear was because they didn’t have a clubhouse/ pub etc . However , we were lucky enough to have fantastic weather when we stayed so we bbqued every evening , & then enjoyed a drink or too , played cards whilst listening to the radio in the background. The campsite completely goes to sleep just before or very soon after 10 pm . We’re on our holidays.....we have to go to bed early to get up for work normally..we don’t want a 10 pm curfew when we’re away ! 11pm yes , totally agree . We’ve stayed on sites where we’ve been woken up in the early hours many times because of late night shenanigans & that is less than ideal too , but given the nature of the site ( mainly families or couples) I don’t think that a 11pm ‘bedtime ‘ , on your holidays, would cause any issues to other campers . It certainly wouldn’t offend me .

Mi è piaciuto A well maintained site , with very friendly staff . We stayed here this year in a tent with electric hook up & also stayed last year with electric hook up in a campervan. We were in field 1 this year & field 2 last year, both were flat & very convenient for water, waste & shower blocks. The shower blocks are fairly clean ( edges need attention) but on the whole well stocked, clean & have hooks, a hairdryer & sockets if you need them for hair/ phone chargers or appliances. I would definitely stay again.

Non mi è piaciuto The road through to the fields need a bit of pothole attention! As a camper you are either walking on wet grass or mucky, holey roads when it’s beey raining. The showers are lukewarm/ tepid morning & evening so a bit more heat would be appreciated!

Mi è piaciuto Friendly staff , lovely pitches & campsite layout & very well kept . The shower block & toilets were kept very clean & every shower was a good temperature. Good amenities. I would definitely rebook . There is also a bus stop right outside the park if you want the option of leaving the car behind for the day .

Non mi è piaciuto The pub that's attached to the campsite .We ate here on the first night & whilst the staff again were very friendly & efficient & the service was good the meat that was served was very budget . We ordered a burger& sausage & mash & we didn't finish it !! Also the pub itself lacked atmosphere & was very over lit so you didn't feel like you were in a pub but more of a cafeteria. It's a shame because it would be ideal otherwise given its location.
