Mi è piaciuto Being able to get straight onto lake Windermere for a swim or with kayak. Amount of space so not feeling like other campers were really close. Clean toilets and showers with hot water.

Mi è piaciuto Beautiful site with small stream running through, trees and plenty of birds(and a couple of lambs when we were there) Mix of flat pitches and huts with around 25 options in all. Each pitch has a fire pit with logs available on site for £5 a bag. Lovely clean toilets and hot showers. 3 sinks for washing up and best of all a shared fridge. Laundry and charging facilities for a small fee. Despite the site being mostly occupied it was still quiet and tranquil . It is also very child friendly. Accessed up a few narrow Devon lanes but well worth it. No WiFi but phone reception fairly good . 15 minute drive/75 min walk to Buckfast Abbey, 20 min walk to Holne with its excellent community shop and 10 mins to local pub , makes it a good site for exploring .
