Mi è piaciuto No frills informal campsite as described. Handy for Warwick and Leamington. Best time of day is early morning on a sunny day when it's lovely and peaceful. Showers basic but hot and effective, never had to queue or for WC.

Non mi è piaciuto Surrounding roads a bit busy for cycling and few alternatives. A lot of children on site (summer hols I know) but did quieten down after 11. Ppl leaving the site at 1:30 am..

Mi è piaciuto Very tidy farm campsite with good shower block and facilities. Level grass pitches with EHU. Just a couple miles from Barnstaple town centre. Welcoming friendly owner.

Non mi è piaciuto Fact that it's about 800 feet higher than the town which is hard work on a bike! Small water leak in gents shower block would benefit from being fixed.

Mi è piaciuto Excellent site. Lovely clean facilities block and very friendly welcome. Local buses about 20mins walk in Chudleigh Knighton.

Mi è piaciuto Well kept, tidy site located in a country park. Clean, recently refurbished facilities block, nearby cafe, left to choose your own pitch from those available. Loads of walking and mountain biking trails close to site (along with new Gravity single track downhill). Short distance from town centre which has supermarket, indoor market and plenty of shops.

Non mi è piaciuto Only the accounting system as had an email to say account outstanding even though I settled the balance due on arrival. This was however quickly resolved when I sent a photo of the receipt!

Mi è piaciuto Lovely site next to woods and a fishing lake. Friendly reception. Pitch almost level, just needed levelling wedges on nearside. Grass good and not worn down to mud like on some other sites at the end of summer. Powerful hot shower (although there is only one for the touring pitches), clean toilets and handy dish washing area also with plenty of hot water.

Non mi è piaciuto Only that unfortunately some of the other punters decided to have an outside party at 23:30 which is a bit late in my opinion. Maybe the site could suggest 'quiet time' after 22:30 or 23:00 like on CC club sites?

Mi è piaciuto Second time here. Lovely woodland location. Very handy for the Camel trail. Powerful hot showers. Large secluded gravel pitch. Taken a lot of care to ensure CV19 precautions.

Non mi è piaciuto Not much. Couldn't get WiFi signal despite being line of site to a transmitter. It is a family site, so bit of noise from kids playing in the evening. Quiet at night though when it matters.

Mi è piaciuto Third stay here. Very handy for a stopover or couple nights away as just a few miles from Exeter. Use of facilities in the pub. Does excellent food and very reasonable Sunday lunch.

Non mi è piaciuto Not much. It is on busy main road so bit of traffic noise, but this reduces at night.

Mi è piaciuto Clean tidy site. Three spacious camping fields so certainly when out of season lots of choice of pitch. Plenty of clean showers / WCs (in converted shipping container). Kitchen for washing up. Pop-up on-site cafe from about 8am serving coffee and vegan food. Short walk (or bike ride) to Lamphey village which has a pub and a halt on the Carmarthen to Pembroke Dock railway line (which you can see from the site). Friendly and helpful site owner. Free no-fuss WiFi. I got a good deal on a two night stay as there was a special offer for the Tenby Ironman triathlon.

Non mi è piaciuto Not much I didn't like. Site office not continuously manned so pitch selection is a bit of a free for all. That's fine, but on my first night another van turned up with occupants who were not so considerate to others regarding noise levels. With no 'officials' on site there is no monitoring of who is entering the site. [Not even sure they were supposed to be there as after the owner arrived during my second day they cleared off].

Mi è piaciuto Top class site - immaculate with some of the best facilities I've seen. Tidy pitches, recently refitted shower / WC block with hot powerful showers. Spotless dish washing room. Bins for recycling packaging / bottles / cans. Heated pool and very reasonably priced. Handy for Stover Trail - mainly traffic free cycle path from Bovey Tracy to Newton Abbot, and Trago Mills shopping centre.

Non mi è piaciuto Neighbours sitting around chatting outside their van all evening right up to curfew - which they have every right to do - just means it wasn't as peaceful as it could have been.

Mi è piaciuto This was my second stay at the Ruffwell Inn. It's really convenient for Exeter which is just a few miles away and fairly priced. The owners are welcoming and friendly. The camping field with EHUs is right next to the pub which has WC and shower facilities which campers can use. The pub also does an excellent carvery 7 days / week and even has live jazz on Sunday eve!

Non mi è piaciuto Not much. Campers need to be OK with dogs as the pub has two large - but friendly - German shepherds, and the chef has a couple more large dogs which like to check out new arrivals.

Mi è piaciuto Clean tidy site. Welcoming staff. On site indoor pool which I used. On site bar and restaurant. Great views. Free WiFi. Allocated hardstanding pitch near to showers / toilets which was handy. Hedges between pitches giving privacy. Wish more sites were like this!

Mi è piaciuto Neat tidy site with excellent facilities. Handy for St Austell which you can get to easily by bike on mostly traffic-free path.

Non mi è piaciuto Only gripe was that because I was near the shower block people were constantly taking shortcuts through my pitch right next to the van.

Mi è piaciuto Not too big. Pitches are right next to the pub which does great food (carvery on Sunday right up until 9pm). Hot powerful shower in the pub disabled wc, which is fine as long as there aren't too many campers! Access to shower and toilets 24/7 even when the pub is shut.

Non mi è piaciuto Some of the other 'campers' are obviously travelling workers who decided they had to pack up at 2.30am with much door slaming and then shining headlights into the van - could have done without that. Two large dogs which are no trouble but do bark alot when you go to fetch water!

Mi è piaciuto Massive site with good facilities. Allocated quiet corner pitch with EHU in my 'own' field (6 pitches and I was the only one in that part). Shower / toilet block just completely refitted and hot powerful showers. Staff friendly and helpful. Good value in mid-season.

Non mi è piaciuto Long walk to showers / toilet - but happy to trade that for a quiet pitch. Pool not open - but appreciate I stayed in mid-season and price reflected that. Paying for WiFi - basically if I have to pay I don't use it - you can always go into town and find free WiFi in pubs / supermarkets etc.

Mi è piaciuto This is a little gem of a campsite, situated in a peaceful countryside location a few miles west of Bodmin and very convenient for the Camal Trail (cycle path) which can be reached via quiet country lanes about a mile away. The site is mostly lodges, a few camping pods and a small camping field. I was allocated a quiet corner pitch, almost level and with electric hook up. The shower / toilet block is very close by with hot powerful showers and there are dish washing facilities and (coin operated) washing machines. WiFi is free and signal was just about OK where I was parked. I have no hesitation in recommending this site and hope to stay there again now I've found it.

Mi è piaciuto Level grass pitch with hook-up. New toilet, shower and dishwashing facilities in their own mobile buiding. Sensible site rules to encourage consideration for other site occupants.

Non mi è piaciuto Not much to dislike. Fairly basic site which we liked although a shop in the reception hut selling basic provisions would have been useful. Main road to West Wales is quite close and there is some traffic noise which is more apparent at night when it is quiet.
