Mi è piaciuto The quietest, most well kept and maintained campsite I’ve stayed at. There’s nothing for miles so you only have nature and as it’s adult only with an 11pm no noise, it is so peaceful! The amenities are second to none - there’s vending machines, clothes washer and dryer, ironing board, toaster, kettle etc in a 24/7 area There’s a separate toilet along with incredible showers (better than mine at home) and the games room is an added bonus. You can have fish and chips delivered to your pitch on Tuesdays, curries on Thursdays, pizzas on Saturdays and breakfast on Sundays - the curry is also amazing! I sat and read on the swing seat on the grounds in the sun and it was so peaceful - I will be 100% coming back (preferably when it’s not raining!) I’ve also stayed at Drummohr near Edinburgh (didn’t realise it was a sister site until I saw posters, but it makes so much sense - so now I need to try the last one near Hadrian’s Wall to get 3/3 Oh AND there are rabbits EVERYWHERE! I will miss having my morning coffee watching them run around the field

Non mi è piaciuto The single female toilet light went off after 2 minutes so I had to keep waving towards the door, but I understand why it’s on a timer (just maybe set it a bit longer?)

Mi è piaciuto Stayed in the little barn and it was beautiful - the views were lovely and the bed was super comfy. The facilities were spotless and really high finish - cleaned every day and you could tell that pride is taken There’s an onsite cafe open daily where you can sit in or takeaway which is a nice bonus I liked that there was a communal firepit and a bbq and microwave was provided. The bedding is also provided in this one (others have to be requested) which was a nice touch Loved that both doors opened and could be latched so it made the outside the inside as it has its own private garden and seating area, this was a such a nice touch! There’s a separate sofa from the bed opposite a tv which is comfy and good for rainy days as English/welsh weather is unpredictable! It’s spot on the border to wales and there’s many places to visit close by and as it’s just off the main road it’s easy to get to everywhere It’s directly on the canal and you can walk along it into Whitchurch in around 30-40 mins and to Starbucks, maccies and Aldi in 20 mins You can park next to your cabin/pitch which is handy

Non mi è piaciuto There was a bit of road noise, but you couldn’t really hear it unless you were outside It got quite stuffy so needed to keep the windows and doors open (hard to close the curtains when the windows were open) which wasn’t a huge issue, but a fan would be beneficial, although I’m aware that the hot weather took everyone by suprise!

Mi è piaciuto Location, amenities and staff - walks onsite, showers and toilets a plenty and also really clean and powerful and the staff are super friendly and helpful As a solo female traveller I felt really safe even with just me in the field Really liked that the electric hook up was paid for and then refunded for whatever you don’t use - such a good way of doing it 10/10, I’ll be back as soon as the weather is less cold!

Mi è piaciuto Amount of space for each pitch, attentive hosts and secure gated entrance - loads of electric hook up, fire pits and wood available too, along with microwave, kettle, fridge/freezer and toaster for anyone to use! 5 min walk to the river Trent which is really nice at sunset

Non mi è piaciuto Toilets and showers could be cleaner but it’s outdoors so can’t expect them to be immaculate- always stocked with supplies

Mi è piaciuto Everything! The owner is so friendly and makes amazing coffees from his shack onsite in the mornings. The showers are powerful and warm and the toilets are clean (composting so very eco friendly too!) Massive pitches and quiet area Already booked again!!

Mi è piaciuto Loved the location, and the staff were amazing. Felt safe and the facilities were great. Who knew you could have a hot shower in a shed?!
