Mi è piaciuto This was our second time staying on site. The first was around 5 years ago as a couple, and this time with our 10 month old. We loved it so much the first time, we knew we wanted to come back again, but, life happened. We finally made it back and loved it as much as the first time. It’s clear the site is well looked after, as the facilities were still looking great. Each pitch is clearly cut out, leaving in between with long grass and what was once I’d imagine wildflowers. Each pitch is generously sized, and clearly marked. We love that you can have your car right by the tent, as some places we’ve stayed you’ve had to park elsewhere and lug all your stuff to your pitch. The field is beautiful, with natural hedgerows and trees. It’s clear a lot of thought has gone into this, seeing the younger trees having been planted. There’s lots of birds around, and we loved using our bird identification app to name them. At night, there were bats flying, which was great to watch too. The area is quiet, and the site is small so noise is minimal. We could see lots of stars too, so there’s little light pollution. The toilets and showers are clean and easy to use, with lights inside. The showers kept a fairly consistent temp and felt spacious (helpful when trying to wash a sand covered baby!). Toilet roll and hand towels were provided in the toilets also. Overall, we loved our stay and hope to come back each year with our growing boy!

Non mi è piaciuto Nothing we disliked, but it would be nice to have mirrors in the toilets. A hook would also be helpful as when going to the toilet and shower in one trip from your pitch, there’s nowhere to put your stuff.

Mi è piaciuto There is very little not to like about this site! We were greeted by Kate when we arrived, even though it was raining, and she showed us around the site. Although it’s small, there is a lot packed in such as a small kitchen area with a fridge and freezer, bbq, pizza oven etc. There is also a little art shack and small shop on site. It would be perfect for families with younger children! There’s several compost toilets and a couple of showers, all of which were clean. I find most eco campsites don’t have the best toilets as they usually dirty and smell, but this was definitely an exception. The pitches themselves were level and easy to pitch up a tent in (even in the rain!). Although you can’t have your car by your pitch, they are still close by and you can easily use a wheelbarrow to move your things to and from. The toilets are also easily reached and not too far. The area was lovely. Set in farmland, it’s very quiet and peaceful. We did need to travel around an hour or two to get to some places we wanted to visit, such as Edinburgh. We didn’t mind this, but it might be worth taking into consideration if you have children and want to travel around.

Non mi è piaciuto Not a dislike, but it’s worth noting that the time we stayed here was when we had the entire site to ourselves due to the time of year. I imagine during busier periods, the toilets naturally will become a little muddy and the quietness of the site will be filled with families enjoying themselves!

Mi è piaciuto What a beautiful place! A small site, individual pitches with a decent amount of space between each. The pitches all have their own fire pit, and fire wood can easily be ordered and kindly brought to the tent by the owner of the site who is also very friendly and welcoming. The facilities were lovely - clean and easy to access/use. There’s 2 toilets (with toilet paper and hand towels provided), 2 showers with hot water and a washing up/water fill room. The area is beautiful. Located just outside of the village, the site is surrounded by fields. There’s lots of wildlife, especially birds. We could hear owls close to our tent every night. Though the village itself is small, it’s not far from other places like Cromer. Here we visited Huckleberries coffee shop which have lots of vegan baked options and milkshakes. Nearby is Bacton too which has a vegan cafe which we couldn’t recommend enough! The site is a short walk from the beach, which is beautiful and quiet. There’s lots of lovely walks in the area too. We found a lovely picnic spot and had some great chats with locals. We had a perfect time, and will definitely be returning!
