Pool was out of order while we were there. Crucial for this time of the year.

Massive overcrowding in the function room with no where to sit.(evening)

Poor selection of food.

The space and how quiet pheasant camp was.

The food wasn't very good and a fairly limited menu.

Beautiful site with outstanding views of Widemouth Bay, pitch was clean, facilities were spotless and all the staff were incredible with all of our family.

Not alot

Arrived and no swimming pool. Not advised of this before travelling! 2 different pitches were paid for at a difference of around £50, yet both were identical! Very hilly and so every pitch is on an angle. One toilet/shower block for touring pitches together with one chemical disposal which was so far away! Security driving around at all hours with lights on full. Very unhelpful reception staff when we complained about the pool. The toilet/shower block needs massively to be updated. The toilet seats and loose on most and even some of the actual toilets are loose! The shop was very very basic and everything had a price tag. If the pool does get up and running, you need to book on arrival for the next day so no swimming on your day of arrival.

Beautiful views

Toilet and shower block is very old and shabby, staff are cleaning it it just looks disgusting. There is a new block but very small for the amount over plots.
Site says it doesn’t allow same sex group booking this happened very loud driving around when drinking, lots or families with small children on site they shouldn’t have to tolerate this.
Pitches are all on a slope enough to make you slide off the airbed

1. separate shed for reception to touring pitches ,caravans checking in queuing blocking only one way road for 20 mins couldn't get back in after going shopping
2. small pool which was out of action ,
3. very poor repetitive entertainment , stripey coats storm and Maddie seem to be more interested in entertaining each other rather than children sat looking bored on dance floor during Disney bingo bangers .so much shouting.
4. when we arrived for kids club at 5.50 pm cinema size screen with news channel showing Israel conflict and bodies in bags being loaded onto a trailer , try explaining that to a 5 year old ! yes she did know they were bodies ,
5 shower blocks old and shabby .
6. very small kids play area tucked far away next to a dilapidated crazy golf near static caravans , no play equipment at all in touring area .
7. amusement arcade with very limited amount of machines to play on , and lots didn't even work .
8. security van constantly driving past our pitch ( yes its good to have security but driving around headlights and hazards flashing for no reason very late at night )
9. stripey coats begging for money , asking kids to get a £1 , to put in a cup corresponding to a stripey ,so that one of 3 stripey coats would get a pie in face if they got £20 in a cup .and because all 3 cups went past £20 they then upped it to £35 !

Was great fun and the club house had plenty of fun entertainment for both adults and kids, the shop was well stocked. The only thing I can moan about is the cost of the food and drink at the club house, if it was a bit cheaper for the small portions that you got then we would have dined every day but the quality and quantity was no where near what you would expect for the price. Save the money and go to the carvery just outside the venue! So much better quality and a great price.

Food and drink

Stayed in Pheasant field. Lovely view and nice pitch. Was vey quiet and very clean which we commented on daily. None of the pitches had water so we had to use a tap to fill up before we set up - wasnt a problem once we realised.
The warden was there daily and was very helpful, recommended the Beach House restaurant which we enjoyed and was only 30min walk along the coastal path.
The evening entertainment we only went to the bingo, was well managed by the 3 entertainment staff. Played table tennis and was also a crazy golf pitch.
Showers were ok, would suggest a shelf in the shower for bottles etc.

We stayed in a tent, even though we was on a slight slope it was still comfortable. The staff were very friendly, some very nice beaches close by, all in all it was a very pleasant place to stay.
