First time staying in a proper campsite and certainly won't be our last stop here. Brilliant pitches, friendly staff and the toilets, showers and wash areas were so clean and well maintained.

What a wonderful site, the facilities on site were so clean and not far from our pitch.
Having a shop, chippy and a bar on site was so useful.
Food was lovely from the chippy and a lot of it.
Shop had all of the essentials we needed (forgot) 😂
The views were very nice when you got out for the walks.

Great site, exceptional cleanliness. Bar, amusement/games room and chip shop all on site. Bonus was regular bus service around the lake. All in all first class. Pity you can’t control the weather too. 😂😎

No negatives

The camping ground is very large with plenty of places to choose from. The views are incredible and it's very close to Ullswater itself. There's a shop with all the basic necessities even including batteries, gas, torches etc, as well as food and little games. The bar and games room are also a nice touch if that's something you want. We'd definitely come back here again :)

Some shower facilities can be a little temperamental. In one block the pressure is nice but the water could be a little hotter, in another the water is hot but the pressure is insane and you have to press the button every 5 seconds.

Honeybee pod was amazing, and very comfortable. On site facilities provided all we needed for our short stay. On site shop was basic but chippy was great as was the games room.

The park is beautiful , so clean ,the toilet and showers immaculate check in so effortless lovely staff, the site is quiet which is what we wanted. However I do think the bar has the timings wrong , opening on the wrong days , I do get it is not busy but being open tues and not weds seems strange , why not open weds till sunday ? we dont go out at home but would of liked to go out for a couple of drinks , we did tues but closed weds it would benefit the staff having 2 days off together , I speak as a ex licencee
