Freedom for young children to run about / friendly welcome / showers that worked perfectly / cleanliness / quiet family site / uncommercial / plenty of room on a pitch / small playground area / many beaches and tourist attractions a short car journey away/ big green tractor!

Driving through narrow country lanes occasionally challenging when meeting tractors coming the other way!

Fabulous welcome from a super friendly team. Great introduction to the site, lots of space to pitch. We chose the riverside field in the hope it would be a bit quieter as our children like to settle in peace. The couple of nights there were noisy children out late this was dealt with promptly and sensitively by staff. Fire pits were supplied and the offer of wood and kindling was made every evening.

Rope swing, outdoor toys and small park much enjoyed by our 8 year olds. Clean facilities with warm showers and the option of a composting toilet, fast food van on site was tasty but pricey, ice block exchange very useful.

When I asked my 8 year old what he liked he answered "everything... I loved absolutely everything!"

It was a little noisy some evenings but this was well dealt with.

Great campsite run by a lovely couple. Back to basics camping with great showers and flushing toilets which were always kept really clean.

Not being able to stay long enough !!

Just back from a two night stay at Pilsdon. We were staying with family, two families had family yurts and two families had tent pitches. Loved that we were able to be altogether.
It was perfect, such a beautiful spot. Loved that the pitches were well spaced out over several fields.
Everything has been thought of, the yurt was clean and well stocked with crockery etc. the toilets and showers were always clean and the washing up facility was great.
The playground was fantastic for the younger children in our group, they loved it.
We did a day trip to Lyme Regis and Charmouth, which aren’t too far.
The breakfast by Jurassic Pork was delicious.
Phone charging facility was great.
Fire pits were fantastic & great for cooking a few burgers.
The owners are so friendly and welcoming.

loads of space for the kid to run about in, facilities were excellent and plentiful so never any queing for toilets or sinks, showers nice and big and always hot water available. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, used as a base to be close to some friends so didnt spend a great deal of the time on the site but were very comfortable during the time we were there and would use again.

Only critisism (if you can call it that) was that grass was quite long which considering the weather is understandable however the last time it was cut the cuttings hadnt been collected (probably due to wet conditions) so in the damp it stuck to everything and ended up getting everywhere but hey, youve gotta expect a bit of nature when your camping.

Lovely spacious site. Has everything you need and nothing you can do without. April and Terry are great friendly hosts, nothing is too much trouble. Facilities always spotless. Jurassic Pork serves good quality, reasonably priced food.

There are two unisex toilet blocks. Would prefer one for men and one for women.
