Step away from your phones and other gadgets – it's all about low-tech entertainment at this laidback Shropshire site, where you’ll be able to while away the hours watching the combine harvesters at work and listening to the horses clip-clopping their way through their daily exercise… If you need to unplug and unwind, you've come to the right place – at Meadow Farm Camping you'll be staying on nicely tree-shaded pitches by a pretty pond with ducks as your neighbours and views out over gorgeous Shropshire farmland (scenery that's lovely at any time but at its best around sunset). Facilities are simple but well kept, with toilets, showers, a shared fridge-freezer and a washing-up area all provided (although please note there is no hot water on site). Dogs are welcome to join you for a stay here, and there's a dog exercise area where they can have a run around. This quiet site is on the edge of the tiny village of Sheriffhales, with easy access from either the A5 or M54. Telford, 10 minutes' drive away, is your nearest major town for shops, restaurants and other amenities. Getting out and about locally might take you for walks on the Wrekin, family days in nearby Weston Park or a visit to the excellent collection of museums at UNESCO-listed Ironbridge.
