Mi è piaciuto Spacious and well kept grounds with onsite pub/cafe.
We had Sunday dinner on Easter Sunday and it was fantastic, the food came fast and was delicious and I seriously cannot fault the staff! They were all so kind and helpful, nother was a bother to them and they made us feel really welcomed.
There are gorgeous lakes on site and plenty nearby if your looking for something to do or a shop for food.
Shows were spacious and fully private which was nice to see instead of say a shower block.
Non mi è piaciuto The toilets/showers although looks very swanky at first glance we're a bit run down which doesn't bother me as a camper you can never expect perfect facilities. However there was a strong smell of ammonia(strong wee) in all the showers which I really struggled with.

Mi è piaciuto Large spacious level pitches in a peaceful, scenic location with fishing lakes and dog walk all around the site. Washing up area and bathroom facilities were really well maintained and clean. Great to have an on site cafe / bar too.
Non mi è piaciuto First day the shower lost all water pressure mid way through showering and when it eventually came back was freezing cold. 5 en suite showers for such a large site couldn’t cope with the bank holiday capacity but was fine after the weekend.

Unfortunately you seemed to haved missed the other facilities which you have given a wrong impression as to how many showers/toilets we have on site, but I appreciate that over a bank holiday weekend we are busy. We very much look forward to your return and to welcome you back

Mi è piaciuto Large pitches with plenty of room, nice clean facilities. Nice mile long dog walk. Nice restaurant and cafe/cake bar. Optional entertainment at additional cost. The shower units are on-suite which gets an additional 3 toilets totalling 6. The Friday fish and chips are very tasty and you can takeaway back to your pitch.
Non mi è piaciuto Unfortunately despite the facilities being clean there are only appear to be 3 showers for the site with an additional disabled shower and toilet by the cafe, this results in lots of queuing unfortunately. Very expensive fish and chips (cost £51.90 for 3 fish and chips and 2 Pepsi max). No wi-fi

Dal gestore: Thank you for your review and MAXIMUM SCORE, unfortunately you seems to have missed the other toilet/shower facilities giving a wrong impression of how many toilets and showers we have on site, which I can appreciate will be busy over the bank holiday weekend as with any other site visited during a bank holiday time.
We only use the best ingredients in our restaurant and where we can from locally sourced ingredients, the cod is fresh line caught from sustainable source each fillet is around 2-3cms in depth and battered in our own recipe to give a wonderful crispy coating, potatoes from local farms, peeled on site and hand cut, which equates to each plate being charged at around £15 you would not be able to get this quality any cheaper from a restaurant given that it is table service to. We do have wifi available on site but it depends on what provider you are using as with all areas some work better than others. From the maximum score I can appreciate that you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to welcoming you again.
Staff so friendly and couldn’t be more helpful! We will be back!

A great place to unwind

Mi è piaciuto The spacious surroundings, the well kept gardens, the toilets and showers. The facility of fridge and freezer and several sinks so you can wash up. They even have a cafe where you can buy food, dinks etc, watched The Lionesses on the tv which was good.

Campeggio ben curato con piazzole spaziose, splendide viste sul lago e proprietari cordiali. Servizi generalmente puliti, ottima pressione doccia. Bar/ristorante apprezzati per cibo e atmosfera. Mi è piaciuto I stayed for 5 nights in mid March on my own. Staying in a T5 on hard standing with EHU.
The site is well located and makes for a great base to explore the local area.
The pitches are generous and well maintained. Each has a back border of trees and hedges adding to a feeling of privacy and security.
The facilities were clean and a good standard.
Overall highly recommended.

The bar serves great food with lovely, welcoming staff with a ‘nothing too much’ attitude.
Nice big pitches, well maintained and facilities lovely and clean and warm! Great stay will be back for sure!

Mi è piaciuto Nice setting with the lake and well laid out pitches.
Shower/toilets were warm and showers had good water pressure.
Dish washing area well set out.
Non mi è piaciuto We were placed close the the restaurant area which had 2 toilet/shower cabins but these were locked! so we had to walk around the fields to the main shower/toilets. The site was very quiet, it was February, dark and weather awful, so we would have appreciated being placed closer to the open showers.

Dal gestore: Thank you for your comments - as you visited us mid week and in very low season I would have hoped that you would have appreciated that we cannot have all facilities heated and running for minimal occupancy, in fairness you were only a couple of minutes further to the main block, a number of sites close during winter months for this very reason, we take this action to try and keep our pitch rate prices down, electricity is not capped for business use as it is for domestic. At the weekends when we have increased numbers of guests we open all the facilities. As for the darkness we do advise in your arrival information to bring a flash light as we are a dark skies accredited site and only have night lights around the amenities sorry the weather was not kinder to you for your break.
