Kedvelték Lakeside was nice. Would have been good for watersports had we gone in the summer

Nem kedvelték On the morning we were leaving I had not heard from the site. I called for confirmation of our arrival and reassured we would receive an email prior to arrival. No email, Tried to call on route but no answer. Then informed offices were closed. As a result at 7pm in the dark unable to get onto the site as we had no code to enter the gates. After about 15 minutes someone leaving gave us their code. Information leaflet at the reception area supplied us with pitch number. Inadequate lighting and numbering of pitches made it very hard to find. At about 3am electricity went off in motorhome. Found out in the morning about 4 pitches lost the electric. I was informed it happened the previous night also. I informed the reception staff that we had no electric and they said it would be fixed very soon. We went out for the day returning at 6.30pm to find still no electric, on our pitch and other pitches had cleared off. We contacted the site warden who advised us we should have been allocated a different pitch by reception. They had not even tried to contact us to inform us. He was a gem though. I believe he was called Nick, and we followed him to a pitch with a lovely lakeside view. The site needed some tidying in parts. Some entertainment facilities eg. mini golf looked pathetic and they charge people £10 to use it. Shower block and toilets very basic, cold, and not particularly clean. With cobwebs and spiders. Signs around the site and in the info leaflets clearly stating guests were not allowed in the vicinity of private lodges made you feel unwelcome and a bit like lepers (wouldn't want the common campers mixing with lodge owners). Sadly will not be going back as it was not what I am used to on any site.
